What is the best Artisan alternative?
It depends on your team. For an AI SDR that works like Ava with published pricing, AiSDR and Reply.io are close matches: both find prospects, handle replies and book meetings, and both put prices on the page. For an enterprise team wanting outbound and inbound AI workers, 11x. For teams that mainly want the data and will run the sequences themselves, Apollo, which has a free plan, or lemlist. For a business whose leads already exist and that wants one agent following them up by email, text and a call it places itself, and answering inbound too, Bold Agent Kit at $25 a month.
Why do people switch from Artisan?
Usually for fit. Artisan prices its plans through its sales team, sized to lead volume, mailboxes and dialer seats, so there is no number to compare before a conversation. Its own FAQ says Ava does not make calls; she queues them in a dialer, which is an add-on per seat, for reps to dial. Plans start at thousands of leads contacted a month, the shape of a sales team with reps. And Ava's brief is outbound. Teams that want a published price, the AI on the phone, a smaller plan or inbound handled too often find another tool suits them better.
How is Bold Agent Kit different from Artisan?
Artisan's Ava is an AI BDR built around a database of more than 250 million B2B contacts: she finds and enriches leads, writes and sends by email and social, handles replies and books meetings for your reps, on a plan scoped by its sales team. Bold Agent Kit has no database. It works the list you bring by email, text and a call the agent places and speaks itself, answers replies from your own material, books real calendar slots, and answers website chat, calls and DMs too, for $25 a month for the account. The full side-by-side is on our Bold Agent Kit vs Artisan comparison page.
Is there a free Artisan alternative?
Apollo has a free plan, which it describes as free forever, with basic engagement tools and limited access to its contact database; on it you can send from Gmail accounts only, and other mailboxes need a paid plan. Artisan's own site says Ava is free to start before you commit to a paid plan. Among the others, at the time of writing, Bold Agent Kit has a 7-day free trial, lemlist a 14-day free trial on its Multichannel plan, and Reply.io a 14-day trial on its Multichannel plan. A free plan tests the data; a trial tests the whole workflow.
How do I move from Artisan to another tool?
Start with the contacts and their history. Artisan syncs both ways with Salesforce and HubSpot, so the prospects and activity Ava produced are usually already in your CRM; export them as a CSV, or in Bold Agent Kit pull a HubSpot segment straight into a list. Save the sequences, subject lines and objection answers that worked, since they carry over to any tool. Ava sends from your own sending domains, so check with Artisan which mailboxes on them you can take with you, and warm up any new ones before raising volume. Then rebuild the sequence, review it and start it when your plan ends.
Which Artisan alternatives can make phone calls with AI?
In Bold Agent Kit, a call is a step in the sequence: the agent dials on your own Twilio number inside the hours you set, speaks in real time from your script and knowledge base, answers questions, offers calendar slots and keeps the recording and transcript, and it can answer inbound calls too. 11x lists consented outbound calling for Alice and has a separate AI phone agent, Julian, for inbound. Reply.io's Jason adds call steps as tasks with a personalised script, lemlist and Apollo include dialers for your team, and AiSDR works with Aircall.
Do I need a contact database?
Only if you need new prospects found. Artisan, 11x, Reply.io, Apollo and lemlist all include B2B data, and AiSDR searches for prospects live against your buying signals, so if the hard part is knowing who to contact, one of them fits. If your list already exists, in a CRM, a spreadsheet, a trade directory or last year's enquiries, paying for data is paying for the part you have. Bold Agent Kit has no database and works that list instead: a CSV, a segment of a connected CRM, or contacts the Chrome side panel extracts from the pages you browse.
Does Bold Agent Kit work with Salesforce or LinkedIn?
No. Bold Agent Kit does not connect to Salesforce and does not automate LinkedIn. It connects to HubSpot, GoHighLevel, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, Jobber, Stripe, Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix and Squarespace, and to eight calendars including Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, Calendly and Cal.com. If Salesforce sync or LinkedIn steps are central to your outbound, Artisan, AiSDR, Reply.io, 11x and lemlist each name one or both, and may suit that part of the work better, with Bold Agent Kit following up the rest of the list.
