Bold Agent Kit vs Artisan
The agent makes the call itself.

Bold Agent Kit vs Artisan is a comparison between two shapes of AI outbound. Artisan's Ava finds B2B leads in a database of more than 250 million contacts and emails them, with a dialer for your reps to make the calls; Bold Agent Kit works the list you already have by email, text and a phone call the agent places itself, answers inbound on the same agent, and books the meeting into your calendar. Artisan scopes and quotes a plan for each customer; Bold Agent Kit is $25 a month for the whole account.

Every channel wired into one agent and out to the tools behind it: email, SMS, phone, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE, Slack, Discord, X, Reddit, Bluesky, website chat, campaign sequences and follow-ups on one side; HubSpot, GoHighLevel, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, Jobber, Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, Calendly, HubSpot Meetings, Zoho Bookings, Acuity Scheduling, Cal.com, Square Appointments, Stripe, Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix and Squarespace on the other.

The agent places the call, not only the email

Artisan describes its dialer as one for your reps: Ava writes and sends the emails, and your reps make the calls, with a brief before each call and a follow-up after it. On its pricing page the AI dialer is an add-on, priced per seat. That suits a sales team with people who want to spend their day on the phone and would like to walk into each call prepared.

In Bold Agent Kit, the call is a step in the campaign, and the agent makes it. On day 5, say, it dials the people who have not replied, on your own Twilio number, speaks in real time from the script you saved, answers questions from your knowledge base, and books the meeting if the person says yes. It uses your provider's fastest model on calls, so it does not leave silences, and it keeps the recording and the transcript on the contact's record.

Answering and dialling are separate switches, so the same agent can also pick up when that person calls back two days later. Every call, completed, unanswered or booked, lands in the inbox next to the emails and texts for that contact, and a person can pick the thread up from there.

The Inbox as one list: web chat, texts and calls together, a call marked no answer, a completed call that booked a roof inspection, texts confirming a Thursday appointment and asking the price, each row tagged with the channel it arrived on.

A text on your own number, between the email and the call

Email and a phone call are two of the channels a proper follow-up needs. The third is the text message, because a mobile number is often the one detail on a contact that still works when the email address has gone quiet. In Bold Agent Kit a text is a step in the same campaign, sent from your own account with Twilio, Telnyx, SimpleTexting, Plivo, Vonage, Sinch, Bandwidth, MessageBird or ClickSend.

The text step carries the number that sends it, the texts per hour for that number, the sending window and the Reply STOP line. A step can be conditioned on the email before it, so the text goes only to the people who did not open. A reply of STOP is honoured on every channel at once and cancels whatever was queued to that person, including the call.

The text messages card in the campaign builder: which agent's number sends, texts per hour per number, a TCPA consent tick with the 9am to 8pm sending window and the Reply STOP line, and the opening text of the sequence.

One published price, instead of a plan scoped to you

Artisan's pricing is credit-based and scoped to each customer. Its plans are described by the approximate number of leads contacted a month, and its pricing page says they are sized to your lead volume, mailboxes and dialer seats, with a price given when you request one. That is a reasonable way to price a product that includes a large contact database, enrichment and a dialer for a sales team.

Bold Agent Kit publishes its price because there is only one: $25 a month, or $200 a year, for the whole account. Unlimited agents, unlimited contacts, unlimited mailboxes, every channel, and a 7-day free trial that starts from the sign-up page without a sales call. There are no credits to run down and no seat to add for the calls. Your AI provider bills you for the model and your carrier for texts and calls, both at cost.

Because the price does not move with volume, the question each month is simply whether the funnel justifies it: how many people the agent reached, how many replied, how many booked and what they were worth.

The Bold Agent Kit dashboard: 157 people reached, 89 replied, 59 visited the site, 9 converted and $4,050 of value won over the last 30 days, with a breakdown by channel and by agent, and recent journeys underneath.

The chat, the calls and the DMs, on the same agent

An outbound campaign sends people to your website, your phone number and your social pages. When they arrive, the same Bold Agent Kit agent answers them: the website chat through one line of script, calls to your Twilio number, texts, email, and DMs on Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE, Viber, Slack, Discord, Bluesky, Reddit and X, each connected with your own app credentials.

It answers from the same knowledge base it used for the campaign, reads the same record for that person, and books into the same calendar. Every handle seen for a contact is attached to one record, so the person who ignored the email and then messaged you on Instagram is one row with one history, and the agent knows what it already said.

The agent's Social tab: Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE, Viber, Slack, Discord, Bluesky, Reddit and X as a grid of platform cards, each connected with your own app credentials.

How Bold Agent Kit and Artisan compare: a database and a BDR, or an agent for the list you have

Artisan builds Ava, which it calls an AI BDR. Its site describes Ava finding and enriching B2B leads from a database of more than 250 million verified contacts across over 200 countries, adding intent signals such as hiring and funding activity, writing and sending personalised outreach from your team's own email addresses, handling the replies and booking meetings on your team's calendar, with approvals, tone and CTA locks and escalation rules to keep people in the loop. Artisan offers it two ways: alongside the tools a sales team already runs, with a two-way CRM sync, or as the whole outbound stack, with data, sequencing, dialling and booking in one platform. Pricing is credit-based and scoped to each customer.

That is a strong fit for a B2B sales team whose problem is finding the next thousand accounts. The teams who put Bold Agent Kit next to it, or go looking for an Artisan alternative, tend to have a different problem. The list is not the gap: they have past customers in a CRM, quotes that went quiet, a directory of businesses in their area. The gap is the follow-up across every channel, including the phone call that nobody on a small team has the hour to make, and a price they can see before they talk to anyone.

Bold Agent Kit is built for that. It has no contact database. Your list comes from a CSV, a segment of a connected CRM, or the Chrome side panel, which pulls email addresses, phone numbers and social profile links off the pages you browse. One agent then works the list as one campaign: the email from your own mailbox, the text from your own number, and the call, placed by the agent itself on your own Twilio number. It answers the replies from your own material and books real open slots in your calendar, and it answers the website chat, the phone and the social DMs when people come back to you.

There is one plan: $25 a month or $200 a year for the whole account, with unlimited agents, contacts and mailboxes, and a 7-day free trial. You pay your AI provider for the model and your carrier for texts and calls, both at cost, usually a few dollars a month. Nothing is priced by credits, lead volume or seats.

Four reasons an Artisan customer starts looking elsewhere

Each is a question of scope or of how the product is priced, not of whether Ava does what Artisan says it does.

01

The calls still need a person

Artisan presents its dialer as a tool for your reps, with Ava writing the emails and your reps doing the dialling, prepared by a brief before each call. For a team with SDRs on the phones, that is exactly the point. For a founder, a two-person sales team or a local business, the call is the step that never gets made, and a better dialer still needs someone to sit down and use it.

02

The price is scoped, not published

Artisan's plans are credit-based and sized to lead volume, mailboxes and dialer seats, and the pricing page asks you to request a price. That is a conversation worth having for a sales organisation. A small team comparing tools on a Sunday evening wants to know the number before it books a call, and wants the number not to move when the list gets bigger.

03

A database you do not need

A verified contact database with enrichment and intent signals is at the heart of Artisan for teams prospecting net-new accounts. A business that sells to its own customers, to the people who asked it for a quote, or to the firms on its local business park already has the names. What it lacks is the persistence to work them on every channel until they answer.

04

Outbound is only half the conversation

Outbound sends people to your website, your phone and your social pages, and the replies that matter often arrive there rather than in the sending mailbox: a chat at 10pm, a call back two days later, a DM on Instagram. A team that wants the agent that sent the email to be the one answering all of those, from one memory of each person, wants outbound and inbound in the same place.

One agent that emails, texts, calls and answers, on one plan

Bold Agent Kit starts where your list already is and does the whole follow-up itself, on accounts you own.

01 / Reaches

Email, text and a call it places itself

One campaign sends the email on day 0 from your mailbox, the text on day 2 from your number, and the call on day 5, dialled by the agent on your Twilio number and spoken in real time from your script. Each step has its own delay and send condition, and the whole plan runs inside the days, hours and time zone you set, paced by hourly caps per mailbox and number.

02 / Converses

Replies and inbound, from your own material

The agent answers campaign replies, website chat, incoming calls, texts and social DMs from your Q&A pairs, documents, data points and the pages of your site it may link to. It reads the connected CRM or store before it writes, replies once per thread, ignores bounces and out-of-office messages, and hands the threads you named to a person.

03 / Books

The meeting in your calendar, not a link

When the person is ready, it offers real open slots from your connected calendar and books the one they pick. It cannot book a time that was not free. The booking ends the sequence on every channel, lands in the inbox, and shows in the funnel against the channel that won it.

The text and the call are steps the agent takes itself

This is the biggest difference in how the two products work. Artisan pairs Ava's email with a dialer for your reps, sold as a per-seat add-on. Bold Agent Kit puts the text and the call inside the campaign and has the agent carry out both. The text goes from your own account with one of nine SMS carriers, with the number, the texts per hour, the sending window and the Reply STOP line set on the step. The call goes out on your own Twilio number, and the agent speaks from your script, answers from your knowledge base and books the slot if the person agrees.

Calls are recorded and transcribed, with Google or Deepgram nova-3 on your own key, and voiced by Google, Amazon Polly or ElevenLabs, or by your own ElevenLabs or Fish Audio account, including a voice you record in the browser and clone. The outcome, a booking, a "call me in March" or no answer, is written to the contact's record and the inbox, and a reply, a booking or an opt-out on any channel stops everything still queued for that person.

The text messages card in the campaign builder: which agent's number sends, texts per hour per number, a TCPA consent tick with the 9am to 8pm sending window and the Reply STOP line, and the opening text of the sequence.

What changes when you move from Artisan

Four things, each answering one of the reasons above. The emails will look familiar. What changes is who makes the calls and how you pay.

Replies

Both directions in one inbox

And you can see which step, and which channel, booked it

Every email, text, call, reply, visit and booking is recorded against a person and reported as a funnel, per agent and across all agents. With the call made by the agent inside the campaign, it is counted in the same funnel as the email and the text.

The Bold Agent Kit dashboard: 157 people reached, 89 replied, 59 visited the site, 9 converted and $4,050 of value won over the last 30 days, with a breakdown by channel and by agent, and recent journeys underneath.

The funnel counts people rather than messages: how many the agent reached, how many replied, how many visited your website and how many converted, with the total value won and the median time to convert. Opens and clicks are recorded per campaign and written to each person's history, and every call leaves a recording and a transcript on the same record, so when a meeting is booked you can read exactly what was said on the phone before it.

A channel table shows where each person first responded and which channel they were on when they converted, which is how you find out whether the call on day 5 earns its carrier minutes or whether the text on day 2 is doing the work. One row per person shows every email, text, call, visit and booking in order. Goals carry a dollar value, as a page rule or a manual "won", and visit triggers follow up when a known person returns to a page you named, after a delay and on the channel they last used. Page goals and triggers need a one-line snippet on your site.

Artisan and Bold Agent Kit meet in the middle of outbound, the emails, the replies and the booking, and differ on either side. Artisan brings a verified B2B contact database with enrichment and intent signals, a dialer for your reps, CSM-led onboarding and a two-way Salesforce or HubSpot sync, on credit-based plans scoped to each customer. Bold Agent Kit starts from a list you already have, has the agent send the texts and place the calls itself, answers inbound on the same agent, and costs $25 a month or $200 a year for the account, plus your AI provider and carrier at cost.

We checked Artisan’s public website on 11 September 2026 for this comparison. Plans and features change, so check artisan.co for the current detail. Artisan is a trademark of its owner, and Bold Agent Kit is not affiliated with or endorsed by it.

Switching, running both, or staying with Artisan

Three situations people are in when they put the two side by side. The honest answer is different in each.

Some teams keep Ava on net-new B2B prospecting and put a Bold Agent Kit agent on everything else: the customers already in the CRM, the website chat, the phone and the social inboxes. The two never work the same list. Ava goes after the accounts it found; the agent wins back past customers by email, text and call, and answers whoever comes in through your site, your number or your DMs.

If your team needs the leads found, Artisan is built around that: a database of more than 250 million verified B2B contacts across over 200 countries, with emails, direct dials, firmographics and technographics, waterfall enrichment, and intent signals such as hiring and funding. It syncs both ways with Salesforce as well as HubSpot, gives your reps a dialer with a brief before each call, and supports the rollout with CSMs and, on its enterprise plans, a strategist. A B2B sales team with reps on the phones may well be better served there.

It books your calendar, updates your CRM and knows what they bought

Connect the tools you already run and the agent works them like an assistant would: it takes appointments straight into your calendar, writes notes and outcomes back to the CRM, and reads your store to see what somebody has bought before it answers them.

Bookings are real, not guesses. It is only ever given slots that are genuinely free, and it can only take one it actually offered — so it cannot invent a time or double-book you. The same connection pulls a segment of past customers into a list when you want to run a campaign at them.

None of it matters if the email lands in spam

A new address sending forty cold emails a day gets filtered, and takes the domain with it. Mailboxes that opt into warm-up send each other ordinary mail on a ramp, starting at five a day. The receiving mailbox finds each message, moves it out of spam if it landed there, marks it read and replies to a share of them.

Each mailbox carries a health score out of 100 — SPF, DKIM and DMARC on the sending domain, seven days of real sends and bounces, and where its own warm-up mail is landing — with the reasons listed. A mailbox whose bounce rate or spam placement passes a threshold is pulled out of campaign rotation automatically, before it damages the domain.

Moving from Artisan in an afternoon, and nothing sends until you say so

Three steps. The campaign is created as a draft and shows every contact, every step and every call on a review screen before anything leaves.

Give the agent what Ava was told, plus a call script

Name the agent, choose a model and paste your API key from one of 16 providers. Then give it what your Ava campaigns relied on: the value proposition, the objections you hear and your answers to them as Q&A pairs, prices and terms as data points, case material as documents, and the pages of your site it may link to. Save the email templates and the text once, and reuse them.

Then write the part that is new: the call script. What the agent says when someone picks up, the two questions it asks, the answer to "how did you get my number?", and when it offers a slot. Choose the voice, from Google, Amazon Polly or ElevenLabs, or clone your own. Write the instructions last, including which replies it should hand to a person.

Connect mailboxes, a number for texts and calls, and HubSpot

Add every mailbox the agent may send from, by app password for Gmail and Outlook or by SMTP and IMAP for anything else, and switch warm-up on so each address ramps from five a day. Check each health score and fix any SPF, DKIM or DMARC record it names. Then add a number from one of nine SMS carriers for the texts, and your Twilio number for the calls, with dialling switched on.

Connect the calendar the agent books into and the CRM that holds your contacts. Load the list from a HubSpot or GoHighLevel segment, a CSV, or what the Chrome side panel extracted from the pages you browsed. Add the chat snippet and your social accounts if the same agent should answer inbound.

Read the plan, press Start, and listen to the first calls

Build the sequence: the email on day 0, the text on day 2 to the people who did not open, the call on day 5 to whoever is still silent, a last email on day 8. Set the days, hours and time zone, the hourly caps per mailbox and number, and read the whole plan on the review screen. Nothing sends until you press Start.

Then listen to the first recordings and read the transcripts. Tighten the call script where the agent was asked something it could not answer, add the Q&A pair, and let it carry on. Bookings land in the calendar, the threads you named come to you, and an opt-out on any channel ends the sequence on all of them.

Is Bold Agent Kit better than Artisan?

It depends on what you are short of. If you are short of leads, and you sell B2B with reps who want to spend their day on calls, Artisan's verified contact database, intent signals, rep dialer and Salesforce sync are built for you, and Bold Agent Kit is not. If you already have the list, the past customers, the stalled quotes, a directory you built, and what you are short of is the follow-up, Bold Agent Kit is the better fit: the agent emails, texts and places the call itself, answers inbound on the same agent, and costs $25 a month for the whole account.

What is the difference between Bold Agent Kit and Artisan?

Artisan's Ava is an AI BDR built on a database of more than 250 million verified B2B contacts. It finds and enriches leads, writes and sends email from your team's addresses, handles replies and books meetings, while a dialer helps your reps make the calls. Plans are credit-based and scoped to you. Bold Agent Kit has no database: it works the list you bring by email, text and a call the agent places itself, answers inbound chat, calls and DMs on the same agent, and costs $25 a month or $200 a year for the whole account.

How does Artisan pricing compare with Bold Agent Kit?

Artisan's pricing is credit-based. Its plans are described by the approximate number of leads contacted a month, and its pricing page says they are sized to your lead volume, mailboxes and dialer seats, with a price given when you request one; the AI dialer is an add-on priced per seat. Bold Agent Kit publishes one plan: $25 a month, or $200 a year, for the whole account, with unlimited agents, contacts and mailboxes, and a 7-day free trial. Your AI provider bills you for the model and your carrier for texts and calls, both at cost.

How do I move from Artisan to Bold Agent Kit?

Start with the contacts. Artisan syncs both ways with HubSpot, so if your contacts are there, Bold Agent Kit can import a HubSpot segment straight into a contact list; otherwise, upload a CSV. Use only contacts you are free to keep using under your agreements. Then connect your own mailboxes and switch warm-up on, move your objection answers into Q&A pairs, write a call script, and build the sequence as email, text and call steps. Run the 7-day trial on a slice of the list nothing else is working, and compare the funnel before moving the rest.

When is Artisan the better choice?

When you need the leads found. Artisan's database covers more than 250 million verified B2B contacts across over 200 countries, with emails, direct dials, firmographics, technographics and intent signals such as hiring and funding, and Ava enriches every prospect before it writes. If your team runs Salesforce, wants its reps dialling with a brief before each call, and would value CSM-led onboarding and, on enterprise plans, a strategist to build the rollout, Artisan is built for that, and a B2B sales organisation may well be better served by it.

Does Bold Agent Kit include a B2B contact database like Artisan?

No. Bold Agent Kit has no built-in contact database, no enrichment service and no intent data. Lists come from a CSV you upload, a segment imported from a connected CRM such as HubSpot or GoHighLevel, or the Chrome side panel, which extracts email addresses, phone numbers and social profile links from the web page you have open. A deep scan follows the pages of a domain most likely to carry contact details, and a domain queue works through a CSV of sites one at a time. Contacts and lists are unlimited and export as a CSV.

Can the Bold Agent Kit agent make phone calls itself?

Yes. A call is a step in the campaign, placed by the agent on your own Twilio number on the day the sequence says, to the people who have not replied. It speaks in real time from the script you saved, using your provider's fastest model so it does not leave silences, answers questions from your knowledge base, and books a real open slot if the person agrees. Every call is recorded and transcribed on the contact's record. Answering is a separate switch, so the agent can also pick up when someone calls back.

How much control do I keep over what the agent sends?

Artisan lists approvals, tone and CTA locks and escalation rules as its controls. In Bold Agent Kit, a campaign is created as a draft, shows every contact and step on a review screen, and sends nothing until you press Start. The agent says what its instructions and knowledge base allow, and the replies you name in its instructions come to you instead. Auto-reply is a separate switch per channel, dialling and answering are separate switches for calls, and you can take over any thread and hand it back.
