The best Bland AI alternatives
from enterprise to a flat plan.

The best Bland AI alternatives for 2026, for the two kinds of team that use it: enterprises automating phone work at volume, and smaller teams that started on its self-serve plans. Some of these are enterprise platforms sold on a contract or a quoted rate, some are self-serve voice platforms, and one is an agent on a flat plan. Each entry says who it suits and how it charges.

Every channel wired into one agent and out to the tools behind it: email, SMS, phone, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE, Slack, Discord, X, Reddit, Bluesky, website chat, campaign sequences and follow-ups on one side; HubSpot, GoHighLevel, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, Jobber, Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, Calendly, HubSpot Meetings, Zoho Bookings, Acuity Scheduling, Cal.com, Square Appointments, Stripe, Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix and Squarespace on the other.

Why people look for Bland AI alternatives

Bland AI describes itself as an enterprise voice AI platform for phone agents, and its homepage speaks directly to regulated industries: healthcare, insurance, financial services and logistics. Agents are built by describing them to Norm, its builder, or through a REST API and CLI; they are tested against scenario suites and back-tested against historical calls before they go live; and they can run in Bland Cloud, inside your own VPC on AWS, GCP or Azure, or, for Enterprise, on your own hardware, with regional deployment across the US, EU and APAC. Its connectors include Salesforce, HubSpot, Five9, Genesys, NICE CXone, Talkdesk and Amazon Connect.

The pricing is built the same way, for scale. One per-minute rate covers the language model, speech-to-text, text-to-speech and telephony, with no token charges and no model-provider pass-throughs. At the time of writing, its published rate starts at $0.12 a minute on the Build plan, which carries a $299 monthly platform fee; the Start plan is $0.14 a minute with no platform fee and no card required; and Enterprise is contracted to your volume. Each plan sets its own limits: ten concurrent calls and 100 calls a day on Start, fifty concurrent calls and 2,000 a day on Build, and a set number of voices and knowledge bases.

Those are sensible choices for an enterprise call operation, and they explain why two different groups go looking for alternatives. Enterprises comparing vendors want to see who else offers a managed deployment, a contract with implementation included, or a different way of paying for the model. Smaller businesses and agencies that signed up for the self-serve plans find a platform shaped around somebody else's scale: a tier chosen by forecast, a daily call cap, a platform fee on the larger plan, and channels that centre on the phone.

This roundup ranks six Bland AI alternatives for 2026. Retell AI covers both a self-serve start and an enterprise plan; Synthflow and PolyAI sell to enterprises on a contract or a quoted rate; Vapi and ElevenLabs Agents are self-serve platforms with enterprise options; and Bold Agent Kit is a finished agent on a flat plan for businesses and agencies. Each entry says how the tool charges, which channels its own site lists, and when it is the right choice.

Four reasons people leave Bland AI

Each follows from how Bland AI describes and prices itself. For an enterprise phone operation several of them are the reason to buy it. For everyone else they are the reason to look around.

01

It is sized for an enterprise

Deployment in your own VPC or on air-gapped hardware, regional deployment across three continents, connectors into contact-centre platforms, scenario test suites and back-testing against historical calls: all of that is built for an organisation with a large phone operation and a vendor review to pass. A business with one line and a diary to fill, or an agency with twenty local clients, buys into a platform designed for someone else's scale and has to work past options it will never use.

02

The tier decides how much you can call

Bland's plans set concurrent calls and calls per day alongside the rate: at the time of writing, 100 calls a day on Start and 2,000 on Build, with the larger allowance carrying a monthly platform fee, and unlimited volume on an Enterprise contract. That is a clear structure for planning a call centre. For a smaller team it means choosing a tier by forecast, and moving up, platform fee and all, in the week the phone gets busier than expected.

03

The model comes with the rate

One per-minute rate covers the model, speech and telephony, with no token charges and no model-provider pass-throughs. That keeps the bill simple, and some buyers want exactly that. Others would rather choose the model themselves, hold the account with the provider and pay its rates directly, or change model next month without changing vendor. The number of voices is also set by plan, at one on Start and five on Build.

04

The phone is the centre of it

Its homepage lists voice, SMS, iMessage and web chat as the channels one agent can work, with one memory across them. The customer who writes to info@, messages you on Instagram, Messenger or WhatsApp, or needs an email on day 0 and a text on day 2 before a call on day 5, is looked after by whatever else you run for those channels, with another knowledge base and another copy of the customer, or by nobody.

What to look for in a Bland AI alternative

Decide which side of Bland you are leaving: the enterprise platform, or the self-serve plans. Then weigh each alternative on three things.

01 / Deployment

Where the agent has to run

If your organisation requires the agent inside your own network, only some platforms offer that, and you should confirm it on each vendor's own site. If it does not, a hosted platform or a web dashboard removes a whole layer of work. Either way, check whether the phone number stays in a carrier account you hold, so the number and its history remain yours if you change vendor again.

02 / Pricing

Bundled, assembled, contracted or flat

Bland bundles the model into one rate. Alternatives assemble the rate from components, include minutes in a monthly plan, price by annual contract or quote, or charge a flat fee for the software with usage billed to you by your own carrier and AI provider. Price your busiest month on each, and check what sits beside the rate: platform fees, numbers, concurrency charges and caps.

03 / Scope

Volume, channels and control

Look at the concurrency and daily limits on each plan, the channels each tool lists on its own site, and whether you choose the model and the voice. Then check the handover: some tools transfer a live call to a person, others take the caller's details and put the call in your inbox with the recording. Match that to how your team actually works.

The best Bland AI alternatives, ranked

Bold Agent Kit is first. After it, the list is ordered by fit for the typical Bland AI buyer, an organisation automating phone work at volume: Retell AI first, because it offers both a self-serve start and an enterprise plan, then the two enterprise platforms sold by contract or quote, then the two self-serve platforms with enterprise options.

We make Bold Agent Kit, which is why it is first on this list. Every other entry is described from its own website, including when it is the better choice.

01 / Best for businesses and agencies that need the phone answered, not an enterprise platform

Bold Agent Kit

Bold Agent Kit is for the other half of Bland's audience: the business or agency that signed up for a self-serve plan to get calls answered and booked, and does not need a VPC, a contact-centre connector or an enterprise contract. It is the agent already built. You set it up in a dashboard from what you already have: your hours, prices and lead times as data points, the answers to the questions you always get as Q&A pairs, your services as documents, and instructions for what it may offer and when it should take details and fetch you.

On the phone it runs on your own Twilio number, with separate switches for answering and dialling, and there is no call tier or platform fee from us. It hears and speaks in real time on your provider's fastest model, transcribes with Google or Deepgram, and speaks in a voice from Google, Amazon Polly or ElevenLabs, or one from your own ElevenLabs or Fish Audio key, including a voice you cloned. It books real open slots into one of eight calendars and keeps every recording and transcript on the contact. The same agent answers texts on nine carriers, email, website chat and eleven DM platforms, and runs follow-up campaigns of email, text and call steps.

The pricing is the reverse of Bland's. Bland bundles the model and telephony into its rate; Bold Agent Kit charges $25 a month or $200 a year for the software and leaves the usage on your own accounts: the model on your own key with one of sixteen providers, the minutes and the number on your own Twilio account, each billed at cost. Choose Bland or another enterprise platform instead if the agent has to run inside your own infrastructure, if you need iMessage or live call transfers, which Bold Agent Kit does not offer, or if you are automating a contact centre.

02 / Best for teams that want a self-serve start with an enterprise route

Retell AI

Retell AI is the alternative that spans both of Bland's audiences. Its site describes an AI voice agent platform for automating phone calls, pitched at the modern contact centre, with a no-code studio where conversations are designed on a drag-and-drop canvas and APIs and SDKs for developers. Agents handle inbound calls, outbound campaigns through batch calling, the web, chat and SMS, with call transfers, DTMF, branded caller ID, post-call analysis and quality assurance on its feature list.

The pricing is the main contrast with Bland. Instead of one bundled rate, Retell builds each minute from its voice infrastructure, the language model you choose, the text-to-speech provider and telephony, and shows each part on its pricing page. Pay-as-you-go starts at $0 with $10 in free credits and twenty free concurrent calls, with extra concurrency, numbers and knowledge bases beyond ten charged monthly; the Enterprise plan has custom pricing and no cap on concurrent calls. Its docs describe bringing your own telephony through elastic SIP trunking, with guides for Twilio, Telnyx and Vonage and for Genesys Cloud, Five9 and Amazon Connect.

When to choose it: if you want to start self-serve and grow into an enterprise plan with the same vendor, and you would rather choose the model and the voice than have them bundled into the rate. Budget with the components in mind, since the rate changes with each choice you make.

03 / Best for enterprises that want the rollout done with them

Synthflow

Synthflow sells to the same enterprise buyer as Bland, with a different emphasis. Its site describes an enterprise voice AI platform for automated phone calls with in-house telephony, a visual flow designer with API-connected steps, a testing sandbox and real-time monitoring, and forward-deployed engineers who work on the rollout with your team. It lists channels across voice, chat, SMS and WhatsApp, more than 200 integrations including Salesforce, HubSpot and Zapier, and sectors including BPO, healthcare, financial services, retail, technology and telecommunications.

Pricing is by contract. Its pricing page lists enterprise contracts scoped around call volume, concurrency, telephony setup, integrations, security needs and launch support, covering native telephony, SIP trunking or approved enterprise telephony; integrations with CRMs, calendars and contact-centre stacks; and implementation, onboarding, testing, training, launch support and ongoing optimisation.

When to choose it: if you are an enterprise that valued the managed side of Bland and wants a vendor to carry the implementation under one annual contract, with WhatsApp among the channels. Its pricing page lists no self-serve plan, so it is not the route for a team that wants to sign up and start the same day.

04 / Best for enterprise contact centres that want a managed voice agent

PolyAI

PolyAI builds voice AI agents for enterprise customer engagement, running on its own model, Raven. Its site is written for contact centres and customer service teams in healthcare, financial services, retail, hospitality and utilities, and it offers Agent Studio for builders without a technical background alongside an agent development kit for developers, with guardrails for brand and experience.

Pricing is not published as a rate. Its pricing page says ongoing use of the voice agent is priced on a per-minute basis, which includes proactive performance improvements and maintenance, and it asks you to request a demo to discuss the figure. That makes it a managed relationship with a vendor rather than a self-serve account, which is close to how Bland's Enterprise plan is sold.

When to choose it: if you run a customer service phone operation at enterprise scale and want a vendor that builds and keeps improving the agent with you, priced per minute under an agreement. There is no self-serve price on its pricing page, so expect a sales conversation before anything goes live.

05 / Best for developers who want to choose every provider

Vapi

Vapi is the developer's alternative to Bland. Its docs call it the developer platform for building voice AI agents, and its platform page puts every capability behind a REST API, with client and server SDKs, squads of assistants that hand calls to each other, custom SIP, warm transfers, voicemail detection, DTMF, test suites and more than 200 built-in integrations.

The pricing and the model choice are the reverse of Bland's. You bring your own API keys for transcription, the model and the voice, or plug in self-hosted models, and Vapi bills its hosting separately: on the Build plan, hosting is charged per minute of calls and per chat or SMS message, ten concurrent calls are included with extra lines charged monthly, and model provider costs are at cost or nothing on your own key. Its Scale plan is an annual contract with a fixed platform fee, committed volume and volume-based per-minute pricing.

When to choose it: if you left Bland because you want to choose each provider, hold the model account yourself or build voice into your own product, and you have developers to do it. Numbers can be imported from Twilio; Vapi's free US numbers do not support outbound calls, so outbound work runs on an imported number.

06 / Best for teams that want many languages on a monthly plan

ElevenLabs Agents

ElevenLabs Agents is the agent platform from ElevenLabs. Its site describes configuring, deploying and monitoring agents in more than 70 languages, with switching between languages mid-conversation, across voice, chat and email, and lists telephony, a web widget, WhatsApp and SMS among its channels. Native integrations named on its site include Twilio, Genesys, Zendesk and Salesforce, and it says the platform is model-agnostic, so you can bring your own model.

Its plans are monthly, each with a set number of agent minutes and concurrent calls, from a free plan with 15 minutes through Starter, Creator, Pro, Scale and Business. Enterprise adds elevated concurrency limits and custom terms. Minutes beyond the plan are charged per minute, text messages per message, and the language model and telephony are billed on top based on usage.

When to choose it: if the callers you serve speak many languages, if the voice itself matters, with a large library and custom voice cloning, or if you want chat, email and WhatsApp from the same platform as the phone. Unlike Bland, the model is not bundled into the rate, so you can pick it, and you will see it on the bill.

Bold Agent Kit charges a flat fee for the software and leaves the minutes and the model on your own Twilio and AI accounts. Check each vendor's own limits on concurrency and daily volume as well as the rate.

Which Bland AI alternative to choose

If you are an enterprise and want to stay with an enterprise vendor, Synthflow suits a team that wants implementation included in an annual contract, and PolyAI one that wants a managed customer service voice agent, priced per minute by quote. Retell AI suits a team that wants to start self-serve and move to an enterprise plan, choosing the model and the voice as it goes.

If you want to build it yourselves, Vapi puts every provider on your own keys behind a REST API, and ElevenLabs Agents offers monthly plans with minutes included, many languages, and chat, email and WhatsApp alongside the phone.

If you are a business or agency that started on Bland's self-serve plans to get the phone answered and booked, choose Bold Agent Kit: calls on your own Twilio number, texts, email, website chat and DMs from one knowledge base, booking into your calendar and follow-up campaigns, for $25 a month for the account with the model on your own key. The full side-by-side is on our Bold Agent Kit vs Bland AI page.

Powered by your own keys

Each agent uses a model on your own API key, in the same way it sends from your own mailbox and your own phone number. Sixteen providers are supported: OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, xAI and Mistral; DeepSeek, GLM, Kimi, Qwen and MiniMax; Groq, Together, Fireworks and OpenRouter; and Ollama or any other OpenAI-compatible endpoint you host yourself.

Bring your own credentials and you own the whole stack: your model provider, your mailboxes, your carrier, your CRM. We charge for the software and nothing else — no token markup, no metering, no credit packs — so your provider bills you direct at their rates, usually a few dollars a month per agent.

What is the best Bland AI alternative?

It depends on which side of Bland you are coming from. An enterprise that wants implementation included in an annual contract should look at Synthflow, and one that wants a managed customer service voice agent priced by quote at PolyAI. A team that wants a self-serve start with an enterprise route, and to choose its own model and voice, should look at Retell AI. Developers who want every provider on their own keys should look at Vapi, or ElevenLabs Agents for many languages on a monthly plan. A business or agency that just wants the phone answered and booked should choose Bold Agent Kit.

Why do people switch from Bland AI?

Enterprises usually switch to compare vendors: a managed rollout, a contract with implementation included, or a different way of paying for the model. Smaller teams usually switch because the platform is sized for enterprises. Plans set concurrent calls and calls per day, with a monthly platform fee on the larger self-serve plan; the model is bundled into the rate, so you do not choose it or hold its account; voices are limited by plan; and its homepage lists voice, SMS, iMessage and web chat, so email and social DMs sit with other tools.

How is Bold Agent Kit different from Bland AI?

Bland AI is an enterprise voice platform with one per-minute rate that includes the model, speech and telephony, and deployment options up to your own VPC or hardware. Bold Agent Kit is one finished agent for a business: it answers and places calls on your own Twilio number, replies to texts, email, website chat and eleven DM platforms from one knowledge base, books real calendar slots and runs follow-up campaigns. It is $25 a month or $200 a year for the account, with the model on your own key. The full side-by-side is on our Bold Agent Kit vs Bland AI comparison page.

Can I move my agents from Bland AI?

You rebuild rather than import, and it rarely takes long. Take what your Bland agent knows, its prompt and the pathway Norm built, and split it up: prices, hours and lead times become data points, the answers it gives become Q&A pairs, longer material becomes documents, and the rules become instructions. Save any outbound script as a call template, then import your contacts as a CSV or a CRM segment. Bland's docs describe connecting your own Twilio account to bring numbers in; if your numbers live in your own Twilio account, connect that same account here.

Is there a free Bland AI alternative?

Several let you start without paying. ElevenLabs Agents has a free plan that includes 15 minutes. Retell AI's pay-as-you-go plan starts at $0 with $10 in free credits. LiveKit's Agents framework, not ranked here, is open source under the Apache-2.0 licence, for developers who want to build and host their own. Bold Agent Kit has a 7-day free trial rather than a free plan. None of these is free at volume: past what is included, calls cost money on every one, whether the platform bills it or, with Bold Agent Kit, your own carrier and AI provider.

Can I choose my own AI model with a Bland AI alternative?

Yes, on most of them. Bold Agent Kit runs every agent on your own key with one of sixteen providers, including Ollama or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint you host yourself, billed to you at cost with nothing marked up. Vapi lets you bring your own keys for transcription, the model and the voice, or plug in self-hosted models. Retell AI lets you choose the model from its list, with the per-minute rate changing with the choice. ElevenLabs Agents says you can bring your own model. Bland takes the other approach, with the model included in its rate.

Which Bland AI alternative can run in my own infrastructure?

Check this on each vendor's own site, because few offer it in full. Of those we looked at, Vapi lets you plug in your own self-hosted models, and LiveKit's open-source Agents framework can be run entirely on your own infrastructure. Bold Agent Kit is a web dashboard, so the software itself is hosted, but the model can be one you host, on Ollama, vLLM or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint of your own, and the number and the minutes stay in your own Twilio account. If the whole platform must sit inside your network, Bland's VPC and on-premise options are the reference point.

Can a Bland AI alternative handle email and DMs as well as calls?

Some can. Bold Agent Kit answers calls, texts on nine carriers, email from your own mailboxes, a website chat widget, and Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE, Viber, Slack, Discord, Bluesky, Reddit and X, all from one knowledge base, with one contact record per person across them. ElevenLabs Agents lists voice, chat, email, WhatsApp and SMS. Synthflow lists voice, chat, SMS and WhatsApp. Retell AI names calls, web, chat and SMS. Bland itself lists voice, SMS, iMessage and web chat.
