Is Bold Agent Kit better than Chatbase?
That depends on what you are buying for. A business with several brands, or an agency with several clients, that wants each agent on every channel, texts and calls included, without buying message credits or paying per agent, will usually find Bold Agent Kit the closer fit at $25 a month on its own AI key. A team that needs a ticketing help desk, wants its agent on Zendesk, Freshdesk or another help desk it runs, wants API access, or wants a free plan to experiment on will find Chatbase built for that. Try both against your own questions.
What is the difference between Bold Agent Kit and Chatbase?
The unit you pay in, and the scope. Chatbase is a platform for building AI agents across chat, email and voice, priced in message credits by plan, with one agent per plan, extra agents at $25 a month each, and a help desk for tickets. Bold Agent Kit charges $25 a month or $200 a year for the account with unlimited agents, runs the model on your own key at cost, and gives each agent email, chat, texts, calls and eleven DM platforms, one inbox with takeover, campaigns and real calendar bookings. It has no ticketing.
How does Chatbase pricing compare with Bold Agent Kit?
At the time of writing, Chatbase's pricing page lists a free plan with 50 message credits, Hobby at $40 a month with 700, Standard at $150 with 4,000, Pro at $500 with 15,000 and Enterprise on request, with 20% off yearly plans. Each response uses one to six credits depending on the model, extra agents are $25 a month each and auto-recharge is $40 per 1,000 credits. Bold Agent Kit is $25 a month or $200 a year for the account, with unlimited agents and conversations, and your AI provider's usage billed to you at cost. Check both pages for current figures.
How do I move from Chatbase to Bold Agent Kit?
Agent by agent. For each Chatbase agent, build a Bold Agent Kit agent and load the same material into its knowledge base: files as PDF or Word documents, your own site's pages as allowed links, Q&A pairs for the questions it answered most, and your prices, hours and policies as data points. Replace the Chatbase embed on the site with Bold Agent Kit's one line of script, connect the mailbox, social accounts and a number, and switch auto-reply on one channel at a time. Past conversations stay in Chatbase; the new inbox starts on the day you switch.
When is Chatbase the better choice?
When you need a help desk or a developer platform. Chatbase documents a Helpdesk with ticket statuses, assignment and escalation from the AI; integrations that put its agent on Zendesk, Freshdesk, Gorgias, Zoho Desk, Intercom, Salesforce and Help Scout; Zapier for wiring it into other tools; and API access on its Standard and Pro plans. If your team works in tickets, or you want to build the agent into your own product, Chatbase offers those, while Bold Agent Kit is an agent and an inbox with eighteen CRM, calendar and store integrations. Chatbase also has a free plan to experiment on.
Does it matter which AI model I choose on Bold Agent Kit?
Only to your provider's bill. Each agent runs on your own key with one of sixteen providers: OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, xAI, Mistral, DeepSeek, GLM, Kimi, Qwen, MiniMax, Groq, Together, Fireworks, OpenRouter, Ollama, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint. The provider bills you at its own rates. A larger model costs more per token at the provider and nothing extra from us; there are no credits, markups or multipliers on our side. On phone calls the agent switches to your provider's fastest model automatically. Change provider or model at any time without touching anything else.
Can I run agents for several clients or brands?
Yes, and that is where the two differ most. Unlimited agents are included in the $25 plan, each with its own identity, knowledge base, channels, keys and analytics, and content from one agent is never used to reply for another. Invite a client into their own agent with their own login; they see its inbox, numbers, mailboxes and analytics, and not its instructions, your keys, your billing or any other client. Each client's agent can run on a key the client holds, so their model usage is billed to them directly by their provider.
Does Bold Agent Kit answer phone calls and texts?
Yes, on the same plan. Texts run on your own number through one of nine carriers, including Twilio, Telnyx, Plivo, Vonage and Sinch, and calls on your own Twilio number, with separate switches for answering and dialling. On a call the agent hears and speaks in real time, in a voice from Google, Amazon Polly or ElevenLabs, or one you cloned on your own ElevenLabs or Fish Audio key, and the recording and transcript land in the same inbox as the chat. It cannot transfer a live call to you; it takes the caller's details instead.
