Bold Agent Kit vs Manychat
Comment flows, or every channel.

Bold Agent Kit vs Manychat is a comparison between two different ideas of social automation. Manychat turns comments, follows and story mentions into DM flows and broadcasts on Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, Messenger and more, for creators and brands, priced by Active Contacts. Bold Agent Kit answers the DMs themselves on eleven platforms, plus email, texts, phone calls and website chat, from one knowledge base, and books into your calendar, for $25 a month.

Every channel wired into one agent and out to the tools behind it: email, SMS, phone, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE, Slack, Discord, X, Reddit, Bluesky, website chat, campaign sequences and follow-ups on one side; HubSpot, GoHighLevel, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, Jobber, Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, Calendly, HubSpot Meetings, Zoho Bookings, Acuity Scheduling, Cal.com, Square Appointments, Stripe, Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix and Squarespace on the other.

Social-first channels, or social plus the rest of the business

Manychat describes itself as automation for Instagram, WhatsApp, TikTok and Messenger, and its pricing page lists Instagram, TikTok, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Telegram, SMS and Email as channels. How many you can connect depends on the plan: any two on Free and Essential, chosen from Instagram, TikTok, Messenger or Telegram; any three on Pro, where WhatsApp, SMS and Email join the list; and all of them on Business and Advanced.

Bold Agent Kit answers DMs on Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE, Viber, Slack, Discord, Bluesky, Reddit and X, each connected with your own app credentials and answered inside each platform's reply window. The same agent also works your email through your own mailboxes, texts through one of nine carriers, phone calls on your own Twilio number and the chat widget on your website. Every one of them is on the single $25 plan, with no limit on how many you connect. TikTok is not one of them.

The agent's Social tab: Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE, Viber, Slack, Discord, Bluesky, Reddit and X as a grid of platform cards, each connected with your own app credentials.

Comment-to-DM and broadcasts, or the conversation itself

Manychat is built around triggers. Someone comments a keyword on a Reel, follows the account or mentions you in a story, and a flow sends them a DM with the link, the code or the lead magnet. Its Quick Automations and more than 60 templates cover welcome messages, giveaways, collecting emails and replying to comments, and its Flow Builder lets you build your own, with an AI assistant that can draft a flow for you. From Pro upwards it adds broadcasts on WhatsApp, Telegram and Messenger, and AI that replies in DMs and comments.

Bold Agent Kit does not reply to comments, post content or send broadcasts, and it has no comment-to-DM flows. It works the private conversation: when somebody DMs, emails, texts, calls or opens the chat on your site, it answers from your documents, Q&A pairs, prices and hours, asks for the booking or the email address, and hands the complaint or the refund to you. Every conversation from every channel lands in one inbox, and replying in a thread yourself makes the agent stand down.

The Inbox as one list: web chat, texts and calls together, a call marked no answer, a completed call that booked a roof inspection, texts confirming a Thursday appointment and asking the price, each row tagged with the channel it arrived on.

A link in the DM, or the appointment in the calendar

Manychat's Instagram page lists booking appointments or calls directly among its flows, its SMS page describes drip campaigns and reminders, and it connects to email tools such as Klaviyo, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, Kit and Flodesk, and to HubSpot and Google Sheets, with Zapier, Make and its own API for anything else. It is a marketing platform, and it gives marketers a lot of pieces to assemble.

Bold Agent Kit books the slot itself. Connect Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, Calendly, Cal.com, Acuity, Zoho Bookings, Square Appointments or HubSpot Meetings, and the agent offers real open times in the DM, checks the one the customer picks against the slots it offered, and writes it into your calendar. When the DM has produced an email address or a phone number, a campaign can follow up by email, text and call, with delays, conditions, sending hours and stop rules, and a reply, a booking or an opt-out ends it on every channel.

The text messages card in the campaign builder: which agent's number sends, texts per hour per number, a TCPA consent tick with the 9am to 8pm sending window and the Reply STOP line, and the opening text of the sequence.

Priced by Active Contacts, or one price for the account

Manychat prices by Active Contacts: one person you interact with in a monthly billing period counts once, however many messages you exchange. At the time of writing, its published paid plans start at $14 a month billed annually, or $17 billed monthly, for Essential with 250 Active Contacts, above a free plan with 25. Pro starts at $29 a month billed annually, or $39 monthly, with 2,500, and each plan charges a published rate per additional Active Contact beyond its allowance. Users, Inbox seats and channel counts rise with the plan.

Bold Agent Kit is $25 a month or $200 a year for the whole account, with a 7-day free trial: unlimited contacts, unlimited agents, every channel, no seats. The AI runs on your own key with any of sixteen providers, billed to you by that provider at cost, usually a few dollars a month for a busy agent on a small model. A post that brings in ten thousand new people in a week does not change what you pay us.

The Bold Agent Kit dashboard: 157 people reached, 89 replied, 59 visited the site, 9 converted and $4,050 of value won over the last 30 days, with a breakdown by channel and by agent, and recent journeys underneath.

How Bold Agent Kit and Manychat compare: engagement automation, or an agent for every conversation

Manychat and Bold Agent Kit both answer people who message a business on social media, and both can use AI to do it. They start from different places. Manychat is chat marketing for creators, social media marketers, e-commerce brands and agencies. Its home is Instagram, and its best-known move is the comment trigger: a follower comments a keyword under a Reel and a DM arrives with the link, the discount or the lead magnet, often asking for an email address on the way. Around that it builds welcome messages, follow-to-DM, story replies, giveaways, broadcasts and a visual Flow Builder, across Instagram, TikTok, Messenger, WhatsApp, Telegram, SMS and email.

Bold Agent Kit starts from the conversation rather than the trigger. It is one agent, configured with your documents, Q&A pairs, prices, hours and the pages of your site it may link to, plus written instructions, that answers whoever writes to you: the Instagram DM, the WhatsApp message, the Telegram question, the email, the text, the phone call and the website chat. It answers from that material and nothing else, asks for the booking and writes it into your calendar, reads the connected CRM or store before it replies, and merges the Instagram handle, the email address and the phone number into one contact so nobody is treated as a stranger twice.

That means each does things the other does not. Manychat replies to public comments, runs comment-to-DM and follow-to-DM flows, sends broadcasts and works on TikTok; Bold Agent Kit does none of those. Bold Agent Kit answers phone calls, runs a website chat widget, works your own mailboxes with warm-up, covers LINE, Viber, Slack, Discord, Bluesky, Reddit and X, and books real calendar slots itself; those are outside what Manychat describes on its site. If your growth comes from Reels and comment keywords, that difference matters a great deal. If it comes from people asking questions on six channels, it matters in the other direction.

The pricing models differ as well. Manychat charges by Active Contacts, the people you interact with each month, with an allowance per plan and a published rate for each additional contact, and plan tiers that set how many channels, users and Inbox seats you get. Bold Agent Kit charges $25 a month or $200 a year for the account, with unlimited contacts, every channel and unlimited agents, and the AI on your own key, billed by your provider at cost. A viral month is where the two models feel most different.

Where Manychat and a conversation-led business pull in different directions

Manychat is very good at the job it was built for: turning social engagement into DMs at scale. These are the places where its scope and pricing model sit less naturally with a business whose problem is answering and following up on every enquiry.

01

The bill grows with the audience

Manychat counts Active Contacts, every person you interact with in the month, through automations, AI, broadcasts or the Inbox. Each plan includes an allowance, and at the time of writing each charges a published rate for every contact beyond it, with overage limits you can set. For a creator whose post reaches ten thousand people, that is the cost of reach. For a business that would rather not have its bill rise with a good week, it is a model to weigh.

02

Channels are counted by plan

Free and Essential connect any two channels, chosen from Instagram, TikTok, Messenger or Telegram. Pro connects any three and adds WhatsApp, SMS and email to the choices, and Business and Advanced connect all of them. A business that needs Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger and email answered together is choosing a plan partly by channel count.

03

Social first, the rest elsewhere

Manychat's channels are social and messaging apps plus SMS and email. Its site does not describe answering phone calls or running a chat widget on your website, and those are often where a local business's enquiries arrive. Keeping social automation in one tool and the phone, the site chat and the mailbox in others splits one customer into several records.

04

The flow has to be built

Quick Automations, templates and an AI assistant make flows quicker to build, and Manychat's AI replies can answer from context you give it. The shape of the product is still triggers and flows: a keyword, a follow or a story mention starts a sequence you designed. A business that simply wants every question answered from its own documents, whatever the question, is looking for a different shape.

One agent. Every conversation. The same answer on every channel.

Bold Agent Kit is built for the business that wants each person who writes to it answered, booked and followed up, wherever they wrote from.

01 / Answers

From your material, on fifteen channels

Documents, Q&A pairs, prices, hours and the pages of your site it may link to, written once. The Instagram DM, the WhatsApp message, the email, the text, the call and the website chat are all answered by the same agent from the same material, so the price and the returns policy are the same everywhere. Every reply is stored beside the content it came from.

02 / Books

The appointment, not a link to one

It offers real open slots from your connected calendar and books the one the customer picks, confirming it in the same thread. For a store, it asks for the email address and links only to the product pages you allowed. A campaign can then follow up by email, text and call, inside the hours you set, until they reply, book or opt out.

03 / Remembers

One person, not five handles

The Instagram account id, the WhatsApp number, the email address and the browser cookie belonging to one person are merged into one contact. The agent reads the whole history before it replies, nobody is asked the same question twice, and the analytics credit the sale to the channel it actually came from.

The website chat, the phone and the mailbox are part of the same agent

The person who found you on Instagram rarely stays there. They look at your website, ring the number on it, or email to ask about Saturday. In Bold Agent Kit, the chat widget on your site, your phone number and your mailbox are answered by the same agent that answers the DMs, from the same knowledge base. One line of script adds the widget in your colour, with your image and a greeting you wrote; calls run on your own Twilio number with the recording and transcript kept; and mail goes out through your own server, with warm-up and a health score for each mailbox.

When the chat widget asks for an email address and gets one, that address ties the visitor to the Instagram handle they DMed from last week, and the agent reads both conversations before it answers. Every thread, from every channel, lands in one inbox with a reply box, and replying yourself makes the agent stand down until you hand it back.

A website chat conversation in the Inbox: the visitor asks how much it is, the agent answers with the price and a link, the visitor's story is drawn across the top, and a reply box lets a person take the thread over.

The four things a conversation-led business gets from one agent

Each one answers a problem above, and none of them depends on the size of your audience this month.

Reach

Every channel, one plan

Eleven DM platforms, email, texts, phone calls and website chat, all answered by the same agent and all included in the $25. No channel count and no tier to climb to add WhatsApp.

Consistency

One answer, everywhere

Price, shipping, hours and the objection about the competitor: one answer, written once, given identically in the Instagram DM, the email and the phone call.

Closing

Asks for the booking, and takes it

It offers real open slots and writes the appointment into your calendar, or takes the email address, so the conversation has an outcome rather than an ending.

Predictability

The same bill in a viral month

$25 from us whether a hundred people message you this month or twenty thousand. The AI is billed by your provider at cost, and texts and calls by your carrier.

And you can see which channel actually produced the sale

Manychat lists audience and conversation insights among what it offers creators. Bold Agent Kit's analytics follow each person past the DM, across every channel, to the booking or the sale.

The Bold Agent Kit dashboard: 157 people reached, 89 replied, 59 visited the site, 9 converted and $4,050 of value won over the last 30 days, with a breakdown by channel and by agent, and recent journeys underneath.

Every DM, reply, email, text, call, page view, booking and sale is recorded against a person and reported as a funnel, per agent and across all agents. The funnel counts people rather than messages: how many the agent reached, how many replied, how many went on to visit your website and how many converted, with the total value won and the median time from first message to sale. Goals carry a dollar value, a page rule or a manual "won", so a launch reports what it earned rather than how many DMs it exchanged.

Below the funnel, a channel table shows where each person first made contact and which channel they were on when they converted, so you learn whether it is Instagram, WhatsApp, the phone or the website chat that closes. One row per person shows every message, visit, call and booking in order, months apart and across platforms. With a one-line snippet on your site, a known person who came from a DM and returns to the pricing page can be followed up after a delay, on the channel they last used.

Built from the cookie, email address and phone number attached to that contact, so activity months apart on different channels appears on one row.

A journey row for one contact: their address, then every email reply in order along a single line, with earlier events folded up behind a +5.
Visit triggers

Follow up on a return visit

Page goals and visit triggers require a one-line snippet on your website. Conversations, bookings and manually marking a deal won work without it.

A saved visit trigger: when a lead visits /thank-you, email me after 20 minutes, once per 7 days, with a fired count and an on switch.

Manychat is a mature engagement platform for creators and social-first brands: comment triggers, follow-to-DM, story replies, giveaways, broadcasts and a visual Flow Builder across Instagram, TikTok, Messenger, WhatsApp, Telegram, SMS and email, priced by Active Contacts. Bold Agent Kit does not do the engagement half at all. It does the conversation half across more channels: DMs on eleven platforms plus email, texts, phone calls and website chat, answered from one knowledge base, with calendar booking, follow-up campaigns and people-level analytics, for $25 a month. If your growth runs on comment keywords, Manychat is built for it. If it runs on questions that arrive everywhere, Bold Agent Kit is.

We checked Manychat’s public website on 11 September 2026 for this comparison. Plans and features change, so check manychat.com for the current detail. Manychat is a trademark of its owner, and Bold Agent Kit is not affiliated with or endorsed by it.

Which one fits your situation

Three common starting points for people comparing Bold Agent Kit with Manychat, and an honest answer for each.

You set up Manychat to answer Instagram DMs, and found that what your business actually needs is every question answered from your own material, on Instagram and WhatsApp and also the phone, the website chat and the inbox, with bookings made rather than links sent. The FAQ answers in your flows become Q&A pairs, the context you gave its AI becomes documents and instructions, and each platform is connected with your own app credentials.

A creator or brand whose growth runs on Reels and comment keywords, and whose customers then call, email, text and use the website chat. Keep Manychat for what it is built for, the comment triggers, follow-to-DM, giveaways and broadcasts, and put Bold Agent Kit on the channels Manychat is not connected to: the phone, the website chat, the mailbox, texts, and platforms such as LINE, Slack, Discord or Reddit. Do not let two tools auto-reply in the same DM inbox.

Manychat is the better choice for creators and social-first brands whose sales start in public: comment-to-DM flows on Reels, follow-to-DM, story mention replies, giveaways and lead magnets, broadcasts on WhatsApp, Telegram and Messenger, and automation on TikTok. It has a visual Flow Builder and ready-made templates for exactly that work. Bold Agent Kit does none of it: it does not reply to comments, run comment-to-DM or broadcast flows, post content or work on TikTok.

It books your calendar, updates your CRM and knows what they bought

Connect the tools you already run and the agent works them like an assistant would: it takes appointments straight into your calendar, writes notes and outcomes back to the CRM, and reads your store to see what somebody has bought before it answers them.

Bookings are real, not guesses. It is only ever given slots that are genuinely free, and it can only take one it actually offered — so it cannot invent a time or double-book you. The same connection pulls a segment of past customers into a list when you want to run a campaign at them.

Powered by your own keys

Each agent uses a model on your own API key, in the same way it sends from your own mailbox and your own phone number. Sixteen providers are supported: OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, xAI and Mistral; DeepSeek, GLM, Kimi, Qwen and MiniMax; Groq, Together, Fireworks and OpenRouter; and Ollama or any other OpenAI-compatible endpoint you host yourself.

Bring your own credentials and you own the whole stack: your model provider, your mailboxes, your carrier, your CRM. We charge for the software and nothing else — no token markup, no metering, no credit packs — so your provider bills you direct at their rates, usually a few dollars a month per agent.

None of it matters if the email lands in spam

A new address sending forty cold emails a day gets filtered, and takes the domain with it. Mailboxes that opt into warm-up send each other ordinary mail on a ramp, starting at five a day. The receiving mailbox finds each message, moves it out of spam if it landed there, marks it read and replies to a share of them.

Each mailbox carries a health score out of 100 — SPF, DKIM and DMARC on the sending domain, seven days of real sends and bounces, and where its own warm-up mail is landing — with the reasons listed. A mailbox whose bounce rate or spam placement passes a threshold is pulled out of campaign rotation automatically, before it damages the domain.

Moving from Manychat, live this afternoon

Three steps. Auto-reply is a separate switch for each platform, so the agent answers nothing until you turn a platform on, and you can move platforms across from Manychat one at a time.

Turn your Manychat flows into a knowledge base

Name the agent, choose a model and paste your API key from any of sixteen providers. Then collect what your Manychat flows and AI context were saying: the FAQ answers become Q&A pairs, your prices, shipping times and hours become data points, your catalogue or service menu goes in as a document, and the product, booking and shipping pages become the pages it may link to, read, stored and linked verbatim.

Write the instructions last: how it talks in a DM, which is shorter than email; what it offers; when it asks for the booking or the email address; and the situations in which it should fetch you, such as a complaint, a refund or a collaboration request.

Documentscatalogue or service menu, PDF or Word
Data pointsprices, shipping times, hours
Your pagesproduct and booking pages, linked verbatim
InstructionsDM tone, offers, when to ask, when to hand over

Connect each platform with your own credentials

Each platform connects with your own app credentials: your Meta app for Messenger and Instagram, your WhatsApp Business account, a Telegram bot token, and your own Slack, Discord, Reddit, Bluesky and X applications. Before switching a platform on here, turn off any automation still replying on that inbox in Manychat, so a customer never gets two answers.

Then add what Manychat was not doing for you: the chat snippet on your website, a number for texts and calls, a mailbox, a calendar so it can book, and the CRM or store so it knows what a person bought before it answers.

Switch a platform on, then build the follow-up

Turn auto-reply on for the first platform. From then on the agent answers genuine incoming DMs there, from the knowledge base, inside the reply window, once per thread, and every conversation lands in the inbox tagged with the platform. Read it for a day before you add the next.

When DMs have produced email addresses and phone numbers, put those contacts in a list and build a follow-up campaign by email and text, inside the hours you set, with the whole plan shown on a review screen before you press Start.

One account, unlimited agents

One account runs unlimited agents, one per client, and nothing is shared between them. A knowledge base belongs to a single agent, and content from one agent is never used to generate replies for another.

Invite a client by email address and they get their own login, which opens onto the one agent you gave them: its conversations, its numbers, its analytics and a reply box. They cannot see your other clients, your API keys, your settings or your billing. Access is deny-by-default.

Is Bold Agent Kit better than Manychat?

It depends on where your customers come from. For a creator or brand whose sales start with comment keywords on Reels, follow-to-DM, giveaways and broadcasts, including on TikTok, Manychat is built for that and Bold Agent Kit does none of it. For a business whose customers ask questions by DM, email, text, phone and website chat, and who wants every one of them answered from its own material, booked into the calendar and followed up, Bold Agent Kit is usually the better fit, for $25 a month with no contact count.

What is the difference between Bold Agent Kit and Manychat?

Manychat is chat marketing automation: triggers such as a comment keyword, a new follower or a story mention start flows you build with templates or its Flow Builder, across Instagram, TikTok, Messenger, WhatsApp, Telegram, SMS and email, with broadcasts and AI replies on higher plans. Bold Agent Kit is one agent that answers private conversations from a knowledge base and written instructions, on eleven DM platforms plus email, texts, phone calls and website chat. It books real calendar slots, runs follow-up campaigns by email, text and call, and does not touch comments or broadcasts.

How does Manychat pricing compare with Bold Agent Kit?

Manychat charges by Active Contacts, each person you interact with in a month. At the time of writing, its published paid plans start at $14 a month billed annually, or $17 monthly, for Essential with 250 Active Contacts, and Pro starts at $29 a month billed annually, or $39 monthly, with 2,500; each plan charges a published rate per extra contact, and prices vary by billing country. Bold Agent Kit is $25 a month or $200 a year for the account, with unlimited contacts, every channel and unlimited agents. The AI runs on your own key, billed by your provider at cost.

Can I move from Manychat to Bold Agent Kit?

Yes, by rebuilding rather than importing. The answers in your Manychat flows become Q&A pairs, the context you gave its AI becomes documents and instructions, and each platform is connected with your own app credentials. Contacts you synced to a CRM such as HubSpot can be pulled into a list as a segment, or uploaded as a CSV of email addresses and phone numbers. Turn off Manychat's automation on each inbox before switching Bold Agent Kit on there. Comment triggers, follow-to-DM and broadcasts have no equivalent and do not move.

When is Manychat the better choice?

When your sales start in public. If you post Reels and ask people to comment a keyword for the link, greet new followers with a DM, reply to story mentions, run giveaways, send broadcasts to your WhatsApp, Telegram or Messenger audience, or need automation on TikTok, Manychat is built for those jobs and has templates for them. Bold Agent Kit does not reply to comments, run comment-to-DM or broadcast flows, post content or support TikTok. Many creators and brands are better served by Manychat for exactly that reason.

Does Bold Agent Kit reply to Instagram comments?

No. It answers private messages only. It does not reply to public comments, run comment-to-DM or follow-to-DM flows, answer story mentions, post content or send broadcasts. What it does is answer the DM itself, on Instagram and ten other platforms, from your documents, Q&A pairs, prices and hours, inside each platform's reply window, and then ask for the booking or the email address. If your questions arrive in the comments, a tool built for comments is the right choice; if they arrive in the DMs, and on email, text, phone and chat, this is.

Which channels does each one cover?

Manychat lists Instagram, TikTok, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Telegram, SMS and email, with two channels on Free and Essential, three on Pro and all of them on Business and Advanced. Bold Agent Kit covers DMs on Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE, Viber, Slack, Discord, Bluesky, Reddit and X, plus email through your own mailboxes, texts through nine carriers, phone calls on Twilio and a website chat widget, all on the one plan. It does not support TikTok, and it answers conversations rather than running engagement automations.

Do I need my own Meta app or WhatsApp Business account?

Yes, for those platforms. Bold Agent Kit connects every platform with your own credentials rather than a shared account: a Meta app for Messenger and Instagram, a WhatsApp Business account for WhatsApp, a bot token for Telegram, and applications you create on Slack, Discord, Reddit, Bluesky and X. That keeps the account, the rate limits and the relationship with each platform in your name, and nothing of yours is tangled up in ours if you leave. If you would rather somebody did the setup, the hire page is for exactly that.
