The best Lindy alternatives
Ranked for customer conversations.

Looking for Lindy alternatives? Lindy is an AI assistant for the people on your team, working in Slack, the inbox and meetings, priced per seat with pooled credits. If what you need is an agent that answers your customers on email, text, phone, website chat and social DMs, here are six options ranked for that job, with who each one suits and how it charges.

Every channel wired into one agent and out to the tools behind it: email, SMS, phone, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE, Slack, Discord, X, Reddit, Bluesky, website chat, campaign sequences and follow-ups on one side; HubSpot, GoHighLevel, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, Jobber, Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, Calendly, HubSpot Meetings, Zoho Bookings, Acuity Scheduling, Cal.com, Square Appointments, Stripe, Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix and Squarespace on the other.

Why people look for Lindy alternatives

Lindy calls itself an AI teammate that works across a company's tools. Its documentation starts in Slack: the team shares one Lindy in its channels, each person has a personal Lindy in their DMs, and it is taught skills and routines in plain English. Its feature pages cover email drafting and labelling, follow-up bumps, meeting preparation and recording, smart scheduling and a daily brief, and its homepage lists more than 1,000 integrations and support for MCP servers. It is a general assistant for the people inside a business, aimed at a wide spread of their work, from research and dashboards to CRM updates and reports.

Most people searching for a Lindy alternative fall into one of two groups. The first likes the idea of a general AI agent but wants a different kind of builder: a visual canvas, a workflow tool with thousands of apps, a platform they can host themselves, or pricing that is not tied to the number of people on the team. For them the honest alternatives are other general builders, and several are on this list: Relevance AI, Zapier, Make and n8n, each described from its own website.

The second group came to Lindy for something narrower. They wanted enquiries answered: the website chat at 9pm, the text to the business number, the Instagram DM on a Saturday, the missed call, the email to sales@. A general assistant can be pointed at some of that work, but the pieces a customer desk needs, the channels, the booking, the follow-up rules and one inbox for every thread, are yours to assemble and teach. For that group, a ready-made agent built for sales and service conversations is usually the shorter road.

That is the lens for the ranking below. Bold Agent Kit, the ready-made option, comes first because the list is ordered for a buyer whose main use is customer-facing conversations. The other five are ordered by how directly they point at that job, and each has a fair account of when it is the better choice, including the many cases where a general builder is exactly what you need.

Four reasons teams move on from Lindy

None of these is a fault in Lindy. Each follows from what its own site and documentation say it is: an assistant for your staff, priced by the seat, with work measured in pooled credits.

01

The customers are not in Slack

Lindy is set up from Slack, and each teammate connects their own Google or Microsoft account and can text their Lindy from their own phone. That is the right shape for an assistant to staff. The people a sales or service agent has to answer are outside the business: they write to the shared mailbox, ring the main number, open the chat on the website and message the Instagram account. A business whose pressing problem is that side of the conversation often decides it needs a tool that starts there.

02

The price follows headcount

Lindy's plans are per user per month, and each seat adds its plan's credits to one pool that the workspace shares. At the time of writing, its published plans start at $29.99 a month per user. For internal work that is a fair measure, because the value grows with the number of people using it. For a customer desk, volume comes from enquiries, campaigns and busy weeks, which have little to do with how many people are on the payroll.

03

Credits that reset every month

Lindy measures work in credits according to how complex it is, and its pricing documentation puts everyday tasks at between 2 and 250 credits and larger projects at 1,000 to 2,500. Credits refresh at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over, and admins can buy top-ups in blocks. Some buyers are comfortable with that. Others would rather know that a busy month costs the same as a quiet one, and pay a model provider directly for the AI.

04

A customer desk is a lot to teach

Lindy's reach, more than 1,000 integrations, MCP servers and skills taught in plain English, means it can be pointed at a great deal. Turning that reach into a customer desk still means choosing the number, the mailbox, the chat widget and the DM accounts, connecting each one, and teaching the rules: when to book, when to stop following up, how to honour an opt-out on every channel, and where a person steps in. Plenty of businesses would rather those parts arrived finished.

What to look for in a Lindy alternative

Three questions sort the options below faster than any feature list. Answer them for the job you actually have, not the one a demo shows you.

01 / Who

Who is on the other end

If the AI is working for your staff, preparing meetings, clearing inboxes, researching and updating tools, look at general assistants and builders, Lindy included. If it is answering the people who contact your business, look for a tool that covers the channels they use, answers from your own material, takes a real booking and stops when the customer replies, books or opts out. Those are different products, and most regret comes from buying one for the other.

02 / Build

How much you want to assemble

General builders give you triggers, actions, tools and knowledge files, and the design is yours: which channel feeds which step, what the agent may do, how follow-up knows to stop. That is freedom if someone on the team enjoys the work and has time to keep it current. A ready-made agent trades some of that freedom for a finished shape. Be honest about who will own the build a year from now.

03 / Cost

What the bill is counted in

Every tool on this list counts something different: seats and pooled credits, tasks and activities, credits per module action, executions per workflow run, actions per tool run, or nothing at all beyond a flat fee. Work out what your busiest month would look like in each unit, check the vendor's current pricing page, and look at who bills you for the AI: the platform, as credits, or your own provider, at cost.

The best Lindy alternatives, ranked for customer conversations

This list is ordered for a business whose main use is customer-facing conversations: answering enquiries, booking appointments and following up. Bold Agent Kit is the ready-made option for that job. Voiceflow and Relevance AI are platforms for building customer-facing and sales agents. Zapier, Make and n8n are general automation builders that can be assembled into a customer desk, and they are the better answer for plenty of other work.

We make Bold Agent Kit, which is why it is first on this list. Every other entry is described from its own website, including when it is the better choice.

01 / Best for answering and booking customers on every channel

Bold Agent Kit

Bold Agent Kit is a ready-made sales and service agent for the channels a business already uses. Where Lindy works for your team, it talks to your customers: the email to sales@, the text to your number, the call you could not pick up, the chat on your website, and DMs on Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE, Viber, Slack, Discord, Bluesky, Reddit and X. One agent answers all fifteen channels from one knowledge base of your documents, Q&A pairs, prices and hours, and the pages of your own site it may link to.

It is not a builder, and there is nothing to wire together. You write the instructions, connect the channels and switch auto-reply on for each one. From then on it answers genuine enquiries in seconds, offers real open slots from one of eight calendars and books the one the customer picks, and follows up on a campaign of email, text and call steps that stops the moment the person replies, books or opts out on any channel. Every thread lands in one inbox, where anyone on your team can take over and hand back.

Choose it if the reason you looked at Lindy was customers rather than colleagues, and you want the whole customer side working this week at one account price. It does not run your team's inbox, prepare meetings or automate internal work, and it connects to eighteen CRMs, calendars and stores rather than a thousand apps. Plenty of teams would run it next to a general assistant, each doing its own job.

02 / Best for CX and product teams designing customer-facing agents

Voiceflow

Voiceflow is an AI agent platform for customer experience teams, which puts it close to the job this list is ordered for. Its site describes a visual Agent Builder, a Workflow Builder for scripted flows the agent can call, Playbooks written in natural language, custom code and APIs, and staging environments, with one agent able to run across web, app, WhatsApp, SMS and voice at once. It lists native connections to tools such as Zendesk, Salesforce, HubSpot, Shopify, Airtable, Google Sheets and Gmail, and lets you choose among the large model providers or bring your own model.

Where Lindy is set up around your staff, Voiceflow is set up around the conversation a customer starts, and it is built for the people who design those conversations for a living: product teams, CX and support leads, and engineers. Its documentation describes a bill made up of a plan fee, add-ons such as editor seats and phone numbers, and credits used when agents generate responses or make calls. Businesses are asked to book a demo or request pricing, and agencies and partners are offered a free trial.

Choose Voiceflow if you have a team that wants to design the agent step by step, needs it inside your own app or product as well as on the web, and has an engineer to connect it to the rest of your stack. If you want an agent answering email, texts, calls and DMs this week without a design phase, a ready-made option is the shorter road.

03 / Best for sales and operations teams building specialised agents

Relevance AI

Relevance AI is a platform for building and deploying specialised AI agents and linking them into workforces, teams of agents that pass work to one another. Its site lists sales uses such as lead enrichment, meeting preparation, prospecting and post-call follow-up, support triage, and operations work such as invoice matching and contract review. Its no-code builder sits alongside triggers from integrations, schedules, webhooks and an API, and it offers Bosh, an AI BDR agent that its site says researches prospects, handles replies over email and LinkedIn and schedules meetings.

For a Lindy user, the shift is from one assistant for everybody to a set of agents each built for one job, and some of those jobs face outward. Its documentation describes phone agents that make outbound calls and run tools during the call, and its integrations include Gmail and Outlook among many others. Billing is split in two: Actions, where each run of a tool counts as one, and Vendor Credits for the model and tool costs, which its documentation says are charged at wholesale with no markup, or skipped by bringing your own keys.

Choose Relevance AI if you want to build several specialised agents, particularly for B2B sales and operations, and have someone to design and evaluate them. If your need is inbound enquiries across texts, calls, website chat and social DMs, booked into a calendar, those are channels you would connect and design around rather than a desk that arrives set up.

04 / Best for automating work across thousands of apps, with AI in the flow

Zapier

Zapier is an automation platform that connects more than 9,000 apps, by its homepage's count. Its core is the Zap, a workflow of a trigger and one or more actions, and around it sit Zapier Agents, which work from instructions, triggers, actions and knowledge sources, Chatbots that take FAQs, documents and public links and can collect leads, and Forms, Tables and Canvas. Its homepage now frames the whole platform around building and governing AI workflows, agents and apps.

Next to Lindy, Zapier is the choice for people who want to design the automation themselves rather than teach an assistant. Instead of an assistant set up around Slack, it gives you a trigger-and-action builder, and you decide exactly what runs. Zaps are billed by tasks, where a task is any successful action, and Agents by activities on a separate allowance. Plans run from a free tier upwards, with 25 users on the Team plan.

Choose Zapier if the work is wide: moving data between many apps, internal processes, forms and tables, and AI steps inside those flows, with a chatbot for simple website questions. For a full customer desk across texts, calls and DMs, with booking and follow-up that stops on every channel at once, you would assemble the channel apps and the logic yourself, and each successful action counts a task.

05 / Best for drawing multi-step automations and agents on a visual canvas

Make

Make, formerly Integromat, is a visual automation platform. You build scenarios on a canvas, each a series of modules that moves and transforms data between apps, and its homepage counts more than 3,000 pre-built apps to draw from. Make AI Agents are built on the same canvas and, by its pricing page, run on Make's AI provider on every plan or on your own model key. Maia by Make builds automations and agents through conversation, and Make Grid gives an overview of everything you have automated.

Lindy users who look at Make usually want to see the logic laid out rather than described in a prompt. Every route, router and filter is visible on the canvas, and scenarios run on a schedule, every 15 minutes by default and adjustable, or instantly from a webhook or an app's instant trigger. It is billed by credits, with plans sized by monthly allowance and a free plan to start on.

Choose Make if you want to draw processes across many apps and keep every step in view, with agents placed where they help. For customer conversations it gives you the canvas and the modules, and the channel apps, the booking logic and the memory of who is who are yours to design.

06 / Best for technical teams that want to self-host workflows and agents

n8n

n8n is a workflow automation platform for building AI agents and automations, visually or in code. Its homepage lists more than 500 integrations, with custom API calls for anything else, and it runs on n8n's cloud or on your own infrastructure, including on-premises. Its Agent Builder sets a model, instructions, tools, skills, knowledge, memory and sub-agents, and its documentation names Slack, Telegram and Linear as channels people can use to reach an agent, alongside schedules and a Chat Trigger that offers a hosted chat or one you embed.

For someone leaving Lindy, n8n is the move towards control: each step and each decision is visible on the canvas, you can connect cloud or local models, and you can host the whole thing yourself. The self-hosted Community Edition is free and has, in n8n's words, almost the complete feature set, under its fair-code Sustainable Use License. n8n's own guide says self-hosting needs technical expertise for installation and configuration, and points people without it to n8n Cloud.

Choose n8n if you have a developer or a technical operator, want your automations on your own servers, and like paying per workflow run rather than per step. For customer conversations, the chat, the channels and the rules are yours to build; every message to its Chat Trigger runs the workflow, and its cloud plans are counted in workflow runs.

The general builders on this list, Relevance AI, Zapier, Make and n8n, can be pointed at far more kinds of work than Bold Agent Kit, and Voiceflow is built for teams who design conversations in depth. Bold Agent Kit does one job: customer conversations on fifteen channels, with booking and follow-up, at $25 a month or $200 a year for the account, with your AI provider and your carrier billing you directly at cost. Units and allowances differ from tool to tool, so compare them against your own busiest month.

We checked each tool’s public website on 11 September 2026 for this page. Plans and features change, so check each vendor’s own site for the current detail. Product names are trademarks of their owners, and Bold Agent Kit is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.

Which Lindy alternative should you choose?

If you looked at Lindy because enquiries were going unanswered, choose the tool built for the customer side. Bold Agent Kit is the ready-made option on this list: one agent on email, texts, calls, website chat and eleven DM platforms, answering from your own material, booking real slots and following up until the customer books, buys or opts out, for $25 a month for the account. If you have a CX or product team that wants to design the agent in depth, or needs it inside your own app, Voiceflow is built for that.

If you want a general agent builder in a different shape from Lindy, the answer is another builder. Relevance AI suits teams building several specialised agents, especially for B2B sales and operations. Zapier suits teams automating across a very wide range of apps, with a free plan to start. Make suits people who want to draw every step on a canvas. n8n suits technical teams who want to self-host and pay per workflow run.

And if what you liked about Lindy was an assistant for your own staff, in Slack, the inbox and meetings, it may simply be the right tool for that job. Many businesses end up with two tools rather than one: a general assistant or builder for internal work, and a ready-made agent for the conversations with customers.

Powered by your own keys

Each agent uses a model on your own API key, in the same way it sends from your own mailbox and your own phone number. Sixteen providers are supported: OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, xAI and Mistral; DeepSeek, GLM, Kimi, Qwen and MiniMax; Groq, Together, Fireworks and OpenRouter; and Ollama or any other OpenAI-compatible endpoint you host yourself.

Bring your own credentials and you own the whole stack: your model provider, your mailboxes, your carrier, your CRM. We charge for the software and nothing else — no token markup, no metering, no credit packs — so your provider bills you direct at their rates, usually a few dollars a month per agent.

What is the best Lindy alternative?

It depends on what you wanted Lindy for. For answering and booking customers on email, texts, calls, website chat and social DMs, Bold Agent Kit is the ready-made option, at $25 a month for the account. For a CX or product team designing customer-facing agents in depth, Voiceflow. For specialised sales and operations agents, Relevance AI. For automation across thousands of apps, Zapier, or Make if you prefer a visual canvas. For self-hosting and per-run pricing, n8n. And if you wanted an assistant for your own team, Lindy may already be the right fit.

Why do people switch from Lindy?

Usually because the job they had in mind is not the job Lindy is built for. Lindy is an assistant for your team, set up from Slack and connected to each person's email and calendar, and priced per user with credits pooled across the workspace that reset each month. Businesses whose real need is answering customers on the channels customers use look for a tool that starts there. Others want a different kind of builder: one they can host themselves, draw on a canvas, or pay for by usage rather than by seat.

How is Bold Agent Kit different from Lindy?

Lindy works for the people on your team: it runs inboxes, prepares meetings and learns skills and routines in plain English, across more than 1,000 integrations, priced per user. Bold Agent Kit talks to your customers: one agent on fifteen channels answers from a knowledge base you give it, books real calendar slots and follows up until the person books, buys or opts out, for $25 a month for the account on your own AI key. The full side-by-side, feature by feature, is on our Bold Agent Kit vs Lindy comparison page.

Does Bold Agent Kit connect to Lindy?

No. Bold Agent Kit has no Lindy integration, and nothing passes between the two. It connects directly to the channels it works on, your mailboxes, nine SMS carriers, Twilio, the website widget and eleven DM platforms, and to eighteen CRMs, calendars and stores, including HubSpot, GoHighLevel, Jobber, ServiceTitan, Google Calendar, Calendly, Stripe and Shopify. If you keep Lindy for your team, run the two side by side for different jobs, each with its own set-up and its own records.

Is there a free Lindy alternative?

Three of the tools on this list give you a way to start for nothing. Zapier has a free plan with 100 tasks a month and two-step Zaps. Make has a free plan with up to 1,000 credits a month. n8n's Community Edition is free to self-host on your own server, and its cloud plans begin with a free trial. Each is a general builder, so you would assemble the customer side yourself. Bold Agent Kit is not free, but it has a 7-day free trial and then costs $25 a month for the account. Lindy gives teammates who join through Slack their first week free.

Which Lindy alternative is best for customer service?

For a business that wants its customers answered on the channels they already use, look for three things: the channels themselves, answers drawn from your own material, and a way for a person to step in. Bold Agent Kit covers email, texts, calls, website chat and eleven DM platforms from one knowledge base, with one inbox where you can take over any thread and hand it back. Voiceflow is built for CX teams that want to design agents across web, app, WhatsApp, SMS and voice, with business pricing on request. The general builders can be assembled into a service desk, with the design left to you.

Can a general AI agent builder answer my leads instead?

It can be part of the answer. Relevance AI, Zapier, Make and n8n all let you build agents with instructions, tools and knowledge, and connect them to email, messaging and other services through their integrations. What you would still design yourself is the rest of a lead desk: the number and the mailbox, the chat widget, the booking logic, follow-up that stops on every channel when someone replies or opts out, one contact per person and one inbox for every thread. Those are the parts a ready-made agent brings with it.

How does pricing compare across Lindy alternatives?

Each one counts something different. Lindy is per user, with pooled credits. Relevance AI counts Actions, one per tool run, plus Vendor Credits for the model unless you bring your own keys. Zapier counts tasks for Zaps and activities for Agents. Make counts credits per module action. n8n counts workflow executions on its cloud plans, and its Community Edition is free to self-host. Voiceflow combines a plan fee, add-ons and credits, with business pricing on request. Bold Agent Kit is $25 a month or $200 a year for the account, with your AI provider billing you directly at cost.
