Bold Agent Kit vs Intercom Fin
Flat price, or priced per outcome.

Bold Agent Kit vs Intercom Fin is a comparison of scope and of the bill. Fin is Intercom's AI agent, charged per outcome and built into a full help desk; Bold Agent Kit is one AI agent answering email, website chat, texts, phone calls and eleven social DM platforms from its own inbox, for $25 a month on your own AI key. This page sets the two side by side, job by job, including where Fin is the better fit.

Every channel wired into one agent and out to the tools behind it: email, SMS, phone, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE, Slack, Discord, X, Reddit, Bluesky, website chat, campaign sequences and follow-ups on one side; HubSpot, GoHighLevel, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, Jobber, Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, Calendly, HubSpot Meetings, Zoho Bookings, Acuity Scheduling, Cal.com, Square Appointments, Stripe, Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix and Squarespace on the other.

One price for the account, however many conversations the agent closes

Fin is charged by outcome. At the time of writing, its published price is $0.99 per Fin outcome, counted once per conversation, and Fin's pricing page sets out what counts: a resolution, when no further help is requested after Fin's last answer, and a hand-off Fin completes through a Procedure you configured. On Intercom's own help desk, that sits alongside plans priced per seat. It is a clear model, and it means the bill follows the volume.

Bold Agent Kit is priced the other way round. The plan is $25 a month or $200 a year for the whole account, with unlimited agents, contacts and conversations and a 7-day free trial. The AI runs on your own key with one of sixteen providers, billed to you by that provider at cost, typically a few dollars a month for a busy agent on a small model. Nothing is metered per answer, per resolution or per seat, so a month with three times the questions costs the same $25 in software. Every row in the inbox above was answered, handed over or booked, and none of them was counted.

The Inbox as one list: web chat, texts and calls together, a call marked no answer, a completed call that booked a roof inspection, texts confirming a Thursday appointment and asking the price, each row tagged with the channel it arrived on.

A shared inbox with takeover, not a ticketing help desk

Intercom sells a full customer service help desk with Fin built in. Its site lists an inbox, tickets, a help centre, a knowledge hub, reporting and outbound messages, and Fin is natively integrated with all of it. If you run a support floor of many human agents working a ticket queue, that is the operation it is designed around.

Bold Agent Kit is not a ticketing help desk, and does not pretend to be. Every conversation on every channel lands in one inbox, newest first, tagged with the channel it arrived on. Reply in any thread and the agent stands down on that conversation; hand it back when you are done and it picks up where you left it. Refunds, complaints and anything else you named in its instructions reach you that way, in the same thread and on the same channel, with the whole history above the reply box and the source of every answer the agent gave along the way.

A website chat conversation in the Inbox: the visitor asks how much it is, the agent answers with the price and a link, the visitor's story is drawn across the top, and a reply box lets a person take the thread over.

Eleven DM platforms, texts and calls, answered by one agent

Fin's channels page lists voice, email, Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, SMS, Slack and Discord, and Fin's site says it can be used with other help desks as well as Intercom's own. Both products are built to be on more than the website, and both put the agent where the customer already is.

Bold Agent Kit covers email from any mailbox, a website chat widget in one line of script, texts on your own number through one of nine carriers, calls on your own Twilio number, and DMs on Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE, Viber, Slack, Discord, Bluesky, Reddit and X, each connected with your own app credentials. One agent, one knowledge base and one set of instructions sit behind all of them, so the returns policy reads the same in a Telegram message as it does in an email, and the DM and the email from one person are merged into one contact before the agent replies.

The agent's Social tab: Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE, Viber, Slack, Discord, Bluesky, Reddit and X as a grid of platform cards, each connected with your own app credentials.

The same agent follows up leads and books the appointment

Bold Agent Kit is built as a sales agent as much as a support one, and the subscription that answers support questions also runs campaigns. A campaign has email, text and call steps, each with its own delay and send condition, runs inside the days, hours and time zone you set, and stops on a reply, a booking or an opt-out on any channel. It is created as a draft, shows the whole plan on a review screen, and sends nothing until you press Start.

Connect a calendar and it books, rather than sending a link: it is given your real open slots, offers a few, and writes the one the customer picks into Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, Calendly, Cal.com or another of the calendars it supports. It cannot book a time that was not free. For a business whose support desk and front desk are the same two people, that is a job an alternative to Fin often has to cover as well, and here it is on the same $25 plan.

The text messages card in the campaign builder: which agent's number sends, texts per hour per number, a TCPA consent tick with the 9am to 8pm sending window and the Reply STOP line, and the opening text of the sequence.

How Bold Agent Kit and Intercom Fin compare

Fin is Intercom's AI agent, and it is built for serious support operations. It is natively integrated with Intercom's help desk, and it can also be used with other help desks: Fin's site names Salesforce, HubSpot and Freshdesk among them, and its pricing page lists more. Its channels page lists voice, email, WhatsApp, Instagram, SMS, Slack and Discord. For a company with a support floor, a ticket queue and a help centre maintained by a team, that is a sensible place to be. Most people comparing Bold Agent Kit vs Intercom Fin are not questioning the idea of an AI support agent. They are working out which model fits a business of their size.

Fin's model is outcome pricing. At the time of writing, its published price is $0.99 per Fin outcome, charged once per conversation, where an outcome is a resolution or a hand-off Fin completes through a Procedure you set up. Intercom's help desk plans are listed from $29 per seat a month on annual billing, and using Fin with another help desk carries a published minimum of 50 outcomes a month. None of that is hidden, and for many teams it is a fair exchange. For a small business, an agency or a store that wants one predictable line on the bank statement, it is a different shape of bill from the one they had in mind.

Bold Agent Kit is the other shape. It is one AI agent that works email, website chat, texts, phone calls and eleven social DM platforms from a single knowledge base, with one inbox where you can step into any thread and hand it back. It answers from your documents, your Q&A pairs, your data points and the pages of your own site, reads a connected Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix, Squarespace or Stripe account to see what a customer bought, and hands refunds and order changes to a person because it cannot make them itself. The plan is $25 a month or $200 a year for the account, and the AI runs on your own key, billed by your provider at cost.

It is not a like-for-like replacement for a ticketing help desk, and this page does not pretend it is. If you need tickets, a help centre run by a team and many human agents working a queue, read the section on when Fin fits better, because that is the honest answer. If what you need is an agent that answers every channel, knows its limits, follows up leads, books appointments and costs the same in a busy month as in a quiet one, the rest of this page sets out how the two compare, job by job.

Four reasons an Intercom Fin customer looks elsewhere

None of these is about whether Fin does its job. Each comes from how Fin and Intercom are published and priced, and whether that shape fits the business reading this.

01

The bill follows the volume

Fin is charged per outcome, at $0.99 each at the time of writing, once per conversation. That is the point of outcome pricing: you pay when the agent resolves something or completes a hand-off. It also means a busy month, a product launch or a courier delay produces a bigger bill, and a small business planning its costs has to plan around a number that moves with its customers.

02

Seats sit alongside the outcomes

On Intercom's own help desk, plans are priced per seat: at the time of writing, $29 per seat a month for Essential, $85 for Advanced and $132 for Expert on annual billing, with a minimum of one full seat. For a team of three that shares one support job between other work, a separate line for each person who replies is a structure worth weighing before you commit.

03

A full help desk is more than some teams need

Intercom's help desk includes an inbox, tickets, a help centre, a knowledge hub, reporting and outbound messaging. That is valuable for a support organisation. A business whose support is one shared mailbox, a chat widget and a returns policy may want the agent and the inbox and not the rest. Fin can run on another help desk instead, with a published minimum of 50 outcomes a month.

04

Sales work is metered too

Fin's pricing page lists qualifying and disqualifying a prospect as billable outcomes, alongside resolutions. A business that wants its agent to answer support, chase every enquiry until it books and write the appointment into the calendar is looking for one subscription that covers all three jobs, with nothing counted per conversation on any of them.

One agent. Every channel. One price for all of it.

Bold Agent Kit takes the job of an AI support agent and prices it as software rather than as a meter. You build the agent once, and it works every channel you connect for the same $25.

01 / Answers

From your help docs, on every channel

Upload the help centre, the returns policy and the shipping terms as PDF or Word, add Q&A pairs for the questions you get every day, your prices, hours and lead times as data points, and the pages of your own site it may link to. Email, chat, texts, calls and eleven DM platforms are answered from that material and nothing else, and every reply is stored with the source it came from, so you can read back why it said what it said.

02 / Hands over

To a person, in the same thread

Refunds, exchanges, complaints and anything else you name in its instructions land in the one inbox with the agent standing down on that conversation. You reply on the same channel, from the same address or number, and hand the thread back when you are done. It cannot issue a refund or change an order, and that is deliberate: the conversations that need a person get one, with the history attached.

03 / Costs

The same in a busy month

$25 a month or $200 a year for the account, with unlimited agents, contacts and conversations. The model runs on your own key with one of sixteen providers, billed by them at cost, and your carrier bills texts and calls at its own rates. There is no per-outcome, per-conversation or per-seat charge, no credit pack and no minimum volume.

The biggest difference is the bill, and what it does not count

Intercom Fin charges when Fin produces an outcome: a resolution, or a hand-off through a Procedure you configured, at $0.99 each at the time of writing and once per conversation. Bold Agent Kit charges for the software and nothing else. The inbox in the screenshot holds web chat, texts and calls from the same agent, and none of those rows was counted, metered or billed by us, whether the agent resolved it, handed it to a person or booked a job from it. A quiet month and a record month cost the same.

The AI still costs something, and it is billed where you can see it. You hold the account with the model provider, OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Mistral, DeepSeek or any of the sixteen supported, including a model you host yourself with Ollama or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint, and paste the key in. The provider bills you directly at its own rates, usually a few dollars a month for a busy agent on a small model, with no markup from us. Change provider or model whenever you like without touching anything else, and on a phone call the agent switches to your provider's fastest model automatically.

The Inbox as one list: web chat, texts and calls together, a call marked no answer, a completed call that booked a roof inspection, texts confirming a Thursday appointment and asking the price, each row tagged with the channel it arrived on.

What changes when you move from Fin to a flat plan

Four practical differences, each one something you can check for yourself in the first week of the trial.

Cost

A number you can budget

$25 a month or $200 a year for the account, plus your provider's usage at cost. A launch week or a courier delay changes how busy the agent is, not what the software costs.

Reach

Every channel, one agent

Email, website chat, texts, calls and eleven DM platforms, answered from one knowledge base, with the same policy in every reply and every conversation in one inbox.

Control

You in the thread

Step into any conversation and the agent stands down. Hand it back and it carries on. Refunds and complaints reach you by a rule you wrote, not by a queue.

Scope

Support and sales together

The agent that answers "where is my order?" also runs the win-back campaign, follows up the enquiry and books the appointment, on the same plan.

And you can see what the agent did, as a funnel of people

Every message, reply, call, visit and booking is recorded against a person and reported per agent and across all agents. The measure is people and what they did next, not a count of billable outcomes.

The Bold Agent Kit dashboard: 157 people reached, 89 replied, 59 visited the site, 9 converted and $4,050 of value won over the last 30 days, with a breakdown by channel and by agent, and recent journeys underneath.

The funnel counts how many people the agent reached, how many replied, how many went on to visit your site and how many converted, with the value won and the median time to convert. Set a goal as a page rule, such as your order confirmation page, or mark a conversation won by hand, each with a dollar value, and you see which support conversations turned into revenue rather than simply how many were closed. A support agent is often the last thing a customer talks to before they buy again, and this is where that shows.

Below the funnel, a channel table shows where each person first made contact and the channel they were on when they converted, and a pages table shows which pages known people read. One row per person holds every email, chat, DM, text, call and booking in order, and every reply is stored with the document, Q&A pair or data point it came from, so you can read back why the agent said what it said. Visit triggers close the loop: when a known customer returns to a page you named, the agent tells you, or follows up after a delay on the channel they last used.

People, not outcomesReached, replied, visited your site, converted, and the value won.
Time to convertThe median time from first contact to a goal, per agent.
Which channel carried itWhere each person started, and the channel they converted on.
The source of every answerEach reply stored with the material it was generated from.
One row per personEvery message, visit, call and booking, in order, across channels.
Triggers on a return visitA known person comes back to a page; you are told, or it follows up.
Journey view

Every event for one person

Built from the cookie, email address and phone number attached to that contact, so activity months apart on different channels appears on one row.

A journey row for one contact: their address, then every email reply in order along a single line, with earlier events folded up behind a +5.
Visit triggers

Follow up on a return visit

Page goals and visit triggers require a one-line snippet on your website. Conversations, bookings and manually marking a deal won work without it.

A saved visit trigger: when a lead visits /thank-you, email me after 20 minutes, once per 7 days, with a fired count and an on switch.

Intercom Fin is an AI agent built into a full customer service help desk, with tickets, a help centre and reporting, and it can be used with other help desks too. It is priced per outcome, and Intercom's own help desk is priced per seat. Bold Agent Kit is one AI agent with its own inbox on every channel, priced at $25 a month or $200 a year for the account and running on your own AI key. It is not a ticketing help desk. If you need a ticket queue for a large support team, Fin and Intercom are built for that; if you need one agent across every channel at a flat price, Bold Agent Kit is.

We checked Intercom Fin’s public website on 11 September 2026 for this comparison. Plans and features change, so check fin.ai for the current detail. Intercom Fin is a trademark of its owner, and Bold Agent Kit is not affiliated with or endorsed by it.

Switching, running both, or staying with Fin

Three honest situations. The right answer depends on the size of your support team and what the agent needs to do beyond support.

A small business, store or agency that uses Fin for the chat widget and email, and wants a flat price, more DM platforms and one inbox without a seat plan. Load the help centre and your common answers into the knowledge base, swap the chat widget script on your site for Bold Agent Kit's one line, connect support@ and the social accounts, and switch auto-reply on one channel at a time while you read what the agent says.

A company whose support team lives in Intercom and wants to keep it there, but also needs outbound follow-up, appointment booking and DMs on platforms such as Telegram, LINE or Bluesky handled by an agent. The two do not connect to each other, and they do separate jobs: Intercom stays the support desk, and Bold Agent Kit runs the sales side, with campaigns by email, text and call and inbound enquiries on the channels you give it.

A support organisation with many human agents working a ticket queue, a help centre maintained by a team, and reporting built around tickets. Intercom's help desk includes tickets, an inbox, a help centre, a knowledge hub and reporting, with Fin natively integrated, and Fin can also sit on Salesforce, HubSpot, Freshdesk and other help desks. If that is your operation, Fin is built for it, and Bold Agent Kit is not a ticketing replacement.

It books your calendar, updates your CRM and knows what they bought

Connect the tools you already run and the agent works them like an assistant would: it takes appointments straight into your calendar, writes notes and outcomes back to the CRM, and reads your store to see what somebody has bought before it answers them.

Bookings are real, not guesses. It is only ever given slots that are genuinely free, and it can only take one it actually offered — so it cannot invent a time or double-book you. The same connection pulls a segment of past customers into a list when you want to run a campaign at them.

Each agent uses a model on your own API key, in the same way it sends from your own mailbox and your own phone number. Sixteen providers are supported: OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, xAI and Mistral; DeepSeek, GLM, Kimi, Qwen and MiniMax; Groq, Together, Fireworks and OpenRouter; and Ollama or any other OpenAI-compatible endpoint you host yourself.

None of it matters if the email lands in spam

A new address sending forty cold emails a day gets filtered, and takes the domain with it. Mailboxes that opt into warm-up send each other ordinary mail on a ramp, starting at five a day. The receiving mailbox finds each message, moves it out of spam if it landed there, marks it read and replies to a share of them.

Each mailbox carries a health score out of 100 — SPF, DKIM and DMARC on the sending domain, seven days of real sends and bounces, and where its own warm-up mail is landing — with the reasons listed. A mailbox whose bounce rate or spam placement passes a threshold is pulled out of campaign rotation automatically, before it damages the domain.

Moving from Intercom Fin this afternoon, one channel at a time

Three steps. The move needs no data migration: the knowledge goes into the knowledge base, the widget script is swapped, and auto-reply is switched on channel by channel.

Rebuild what Fin answered from as the agent's knowledge base

Name the agent, choose a model and paste your API key. Then give it what Fin was answering from: your help centre articles saved as PDF or Word documents, the help and policy pages of your own site it may link to, Q&A pairs for the questions your team answers every week, and your prices, hours, delivery times and returns window as data points. Pages you allow are read, stored and linked verbatim, so the agent never paraphrases a policy into something it is not.

Write the instructions last: the tone, what it may offer, and the moments it should stop and fetch a person. If Fin was handing refunds, exchanges and complaints to your team, write the same rules here, and those conversations arrive in your inbox with the agent standing down on each one.

Swap the widget and connect the channels Fin was on

Replace the chat widget script on your site with Bold Agent Kit's one line, and set your colour, image and greeting. Connect the support@ mailbox your customers already write to: Gmail and Outlook with an app password, anything else as an SMTP and IMAP host, with mail sent through your own server so the thread stays on your domain. Add the social accounts on your own app credentials, and a number for texts and calls if you want them.

Then connect the store or CRM so the agent reads the customer before it replies, and a calendar if support ever means booking somebody in. Each connection runs on your own account, so the address, the number and the reputation stay yours.

Switch on one channel, read the inbox, then add the rest

Auto-reply is a separate switch for each channel. Start with the chat widget, read what the agent says in the inbox for a day or two, correct a Q&A pair or a data point where an answer needs it, then add email, the DMs and the phone. Calls have separate switches for answering and dialling, so it can answer support calls without ever placing one.

Once it is running, the routine questions are handled and the ones you named come to you. Step into any thread and the agent stands down; hand it back when you are done. When you are satisfied with a channel, retire Fin from it on your own timetable.

One account, unlimited agents

One account runs unlimited agents, one per client, and nothing is shared between them. A knowledge base belongs to a single agent, and content from one agent is never used to generate replies for another.

Invite a client by email address and they get their own login, which opens onto the one agent you gave them: its conversations, its numbers, its analytics and a reply box. They cannot see your other clients, your API keys, your settings or your billing. Access is deny-by-default.

Is Bold Agent Kit better than Intercom Fin?

It depends on the buyer. For a small or mid-sized business, a store or an agency that wants one AI agent on email, website chat, texts, calls and eleven DM platforms at a flat $25 a month on its own AI key, with campaigns and calendar booking on the same plan, Bold Agent Kit is usually the closer fit. For a support organisation with many human agents working tickets, a help centre maintained by a team and reporting built on tickets, Fin inside Intercom's help desk is built for that and Bold Agent Kit is not. The fair test is to run both against your own questions before deciding.

What is the difference between Bold Agent Kit and Intercom Fin?

Scope and pricing. Fin is Intercom's AI agent, natively integrated with Intercom's help desk of inbox, tickets, help centre and reporting, and it can also be used with other help desks. It is charged per outcome, at $0.99 each at the time of writing. Bold Agent Kit is one AI agent with its own inbox across email, chat, texts, calls and eleven DM platforms, with no ticketing, priced at $25 a month for the account with unlimited agents. It also runs outbound campaigns and books real calendar slots on the same plan, and the AI runs on your own key, billed by your provider at cost.

How does Intercom Fin pricing compare with Bold Agent Kit?

At the time of writing, Fin's published price is $0.99 per Fin outcome, charged once per conversation, where an outcome is a resolution or a hand-off Fin completes through a Procedure you configured. Intercom's help desk plans are listed from $29 per seat a month on annual billing, and using Fin with another help desk carries a minimum of 50 outcomes a month. Bold Agent Kit is $25 a month or $200 a year for the account, with unlimited agents, contacts and conversations, plus your AI provider's usage billed to you at cost and your carrier's rates for texts and calls. Check both pricing pages for the current figures.

How do I move from Intercom Fin to Bold Agent Kit?

There is no data migration to run. Save the help centre articles your team relies on as PDF or Word documents and upload them, or add the help pages on your own site as allowed pages, then add Q&A pairs for the questions you answer every week and your prices, hours and policies as data points. Replace the chat widget script on your site with Bold Agent Kit's one line, connect support@ and your social accounts, and switch auto-reply on one channel at a time. Past conversations stay where they are in Intercom; the new inbox starts from the day you switch.

When is Intercom Fin the better choice?

When you run a support organisation built around tickets. If you have many human agents working a queue, a help centre maintained by a team, reporting built on tickets and processes that depend on a full help desk, Intercom's help desk with Fin natively integrated is designed for that, and Fin can also sit on Salesforce, HubSpot, Freshdesk and other help desks you already use. If you would rather pay when a conversation reaches an outcome than pay a flat fee, Fin prices that way. Bold Agent Kit has one inbox with takeover rather than tickets, so it is not a replacement for that kind of operation.

Does Bold Agent Kit have ticketing like Intercom?

No. It has one inbox where every conversation on every channel arrives, newest first, tagged with its channel, and filterable by channel, mailbox, number or agent. There are no tickets, statuses or queues to assign. Instead, you name the conversations that need a person in the agent's instructions, such as refunds, complaints or anything involving a payment, and when a message matches, the thread lands in the inbox with the agent standing down. You reply in the same thread and hand it back when you are done. For a small team that is usually enough structure; for a large support floor it is not.

Can Bold Agent Kit work alongside Intercom?

Yes, as a separate tool doing a separate job, though the two do not connect to each other. A common split is to keep the support desk in Intercom and use Bold Agent Kit for the sales side: multichannel campaigns by email, text and call, follow-up on every enquiry until it books or opts out, real calendar bookings, and DMs on platforms such as Telegram, LINE, Viber, Bluesky, Reddit and X. Its eighteen integrations are CRMs, calendars and stores, including HubSpot, GoHighLevel, Shopify and Stripe, rather than help desks, so each tool keeps its own conversations.

Can it issue refunds or change orders, as a support agent?

No, and that is deliberate. With Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix, Squarespace or Stripe connected, it reads the customer's record before it replies, so it knows what they bought, what is still open and what they are worth, and it answers "where is my order?" from that record rather than from a generic estimate. It cannot issue a refund, cancel an order, change an address or take a payment. Write those as the moments it should stop and fetch a person, and the thread arrives in your inbox with the whole history above the reply box and the agent standing down on that conversation.
